Garlic croutons are a versatile dish that serves as an excellent basis for many dishes, including salads, as well as the basis for making delicious and fragrant sandwiches.

To prepare this fragrant base for any sandwich, you need to prepare the following products:
    one loaf of white or rye bread (your preference);

    One large head of garlic;

    A little salt to taste;

    Six - seven tablespoons of vegetable oil.

How to cook garlic croutons:

Even stale bread can be used to make croutons. So, using a sharp bread knife, cut the loaf into slices of the desired shape. Then heat a good frying pan over high heat, pouring the prescribed amount of vegetable oil into it. As a rule, three tablespoons of vegetable oil are enough for the first portion of croutons. Bread must be fried in oil on both sides until a beautiful golden crust. This will take you about three to four minutes on each side.

Meanwhile, peel the garlic and pass it through a special press. Cooks, by the way, recommend not using a press, but crushing the garlic with the wide side of the knife, and then finely chop it - this way the garlic retains its flavor.

Now mix the resulting garlic mass with salt and grease the slightly cooled croutons with this mixture and let them cool completely. Garlic croutons perfectly complement the taste of buckwheat soup or borscht, and are also suitable for beer.

For this recipe, you need to prepare the following ingredients:
    one loaf of wheat white bread;

    A third cup of grated parmesan;

    Two bunches of broccoli;

    Three quarters of a teaspoon of table salt;

    A quarter cup of sunflower or olive oil;

    A quarter teaspoon of crushed red pepper;

    Three large cloves of garlic.

How to cook croutons with garlic and broccoli.


Take a large saucepan and pour a sufficient amount of purified cold water into it. Put it on a large fire and bring the water to a boil. Put the grill on to heat. Cut the bread into slices, and then cut each into halves.

Next, you need to put each piece of bread on a well-heated grill and fry on one side for about two minutes. Then turn the bread over and sprinkle the toasted side with a little grated Parmesan. Wait until the edges of the bread are a beautiful golden color and the cheese is completely melted.

In the meantime, broccoli should be boiled in lightly salted water until fully cooked, then removed from the pan with a slotted spoon and allowed to cool. After that, dry them on a paper towel and chop coarsely. Dry the pan in which the broccoli was boiled, then heat the oil in it over low heat and put the garlic in it. At the same time, the garlic should be peeled and cut into three parts. Simmer the garlic over medium heat until it turns brown. Next, you need to put broccoli there, add salt and red pepper and continue to simmer over medium heat for at least five to six minutes, remembering to stir with a wooden spatula.

When the mixture is ready, you can remove the garlic from it and use a spoon to put the seasoned broccoli on the toasted slices of bread. Before serving, sprinkle each toast with the rest of the Parmesan.

Garlic croutons in a frying pan. You will need:

    one regular loaf or French baguette;

    A quarter cup of softened butter;

    One teaspoon of garlic powder.

Cooking method.

Cut the bread to your liking into fairly thin slices. Then put the oil in a small bowl and mix the garlic powder in it. Now grease the bread with the resulting mixture and put the slices in a frying pan, which must first be heated over medium heat. Spread the slices with the oiled side up and fry for no more than a couple of minutes.
