Oatmeal porridge in a Polaris multicooker. Oatmeal with dried apricots and honey in the Polaris multicooker

In this recipe I will tell you how to cook oatmeal in a Polaris multicooker. Let’s dilute regular cereal with dried apricots and honey – you’ll get a very healthy and tasty breakfast. Porridge saturates our body with complex carbohydrates, which keep us full for a long time. It is also rich in vitamins, amino acids and microelements. This porridge turns out to be so tasty that even children enjoy eating it! The recipe for making milk oatmeal in a slow cooker is suitable for both instant cereal and traditional rolled oats.

Ingredients:

  • Oatmeal or rolled oats (the latter is healthier in its properties, but takes longer to prepare and has a less uniform consistency) – 1 multi-cup
  • Dried apricots – 8 pieces
  • Honey – 1 teaspoon (heaped)
  • Milk – 2 multi-cups (if you like your porridge with a thinner consistency, add another 1-2 multi-cups of water or milk)
  • Water – 2 multi-glasses

Step-by-step cooking recipe:

Pour oatmeal into the multicooker bowl.

Wash the dried apricots well with warm water. If the dried apricots are very hard, you can first soak them in hot water for 10 minutes. Then, cut it into small pieces and put it in a pan with oatmeal (rolled oats).

We will have oatmeal with milk in a slow cooker, with the addition of water. Milk can be used at any fat content. On the control panel, set the “Oatmeal” mode. If you chose traditional non-fast-cooking rolled oats, then set the time to 10 minutes. Because in this multicooker model, the countdown will begin after it has warmed up (from 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the number of ingredients and liquid), then the total time (from half an hour) is just enough for the porridge to be fully prepared. If you like instant oatmeal, set the time to no more than 5 minutes, although you can manually turn off the multicooker before the countdown starts; after 20 minutes, the oatmeal in the multicooker will be ready.

Place the finished porridge on plates. At the end you can decorate it with any berries of your choice.

Bon appetit!

Tip: since oatmeal with milk is the most “escapeable” cereal, to avoid this, I recommend making an oil rim along the walls of the bowl, this will protect the milk from boiling over and foam rising.

There is also a recipe on our website.

  1. To ensure that the porridge is not too thick and not too thin, stick to the following proportions: take 1 part of cereal, 4 parts of liquid. Dilute full-fat milk by half with water.
  2. Pour oatmeal into the multicooker container (you can use both regular and instant oats). Add the oil immediately.
  3. Pour in milk, stir.
  4. Set the “Multicook” program, temperature – 90 degrees, cooking time for oatmeal in the Polaris multicooker is 10 minutes.
  5. If you have the “Oatmeal” program, try cooking porridge using this program, but many housewives believe that porridge is overcooked in this mode. This will not happen with the Multicook program; the oatmeal will not burn, which means the taste of the dish will not be spoiled.
  6. After the program is completed, the multicooker itself will notify you; all you have to do is open the lid and place the healthy porridge on plates.
  7. You can add raisins and nuts to the cooked oatmeal in the Polaris multicooker.

This healthy breakfast is sure to please everyone at home. And if in the morning you cannot find even 15 minutes of your time to prepare oatmeal, do it in the evening.

Most multicooker models have a “Delay Cooking” program. In the evening, put cereal in the multicooker bowl, add milk and set the “Milk porridge” mode. In the morning, all you have to do is open the lid and pour the finished porridge into a plate.

Time: 60 min.

A great way to cook oatmeal in the Polaris multicooker

"Oatmeal, sir!" said the butler Barrymore to Lord Henry in the film The Hound of the Baskervilles. Polaris, tasty and aromatic, as in the famous film, will now be on your table as often as at the English Lord Henry's.

Using a simple recipe and a minimum of ingredients, you can prepare a healthy and nutritious dish.

In fact, oatmeal recipes were common among the Eastern Slavs. In addition to Russia, in ancient times this cereal was consumed in Scotland and Scandinavia (probably the butler Barrymore was a Scot).

Currently, oatmeal has become popular in many countries around the world. Many people know how to use milk, cream, water.

Add dried fruits, honey and nuts. After eating oatmeal, you feel full for a long time. This happens thanks to a special polysaccharide contained in oat grains.

It slowly releases calories to the body and has immunomodulatory properties. It is not for nothing that in the Soviet Union oatmeal was called “Hercules”, symbolizing the surge of strength and health that oatmeal brought.

Try cooking unusual oatmeal porridge in milk with the addition of apples and walnuts in the Polaris 0517 multicooker. It is better to choose sweet and dense apples for this dish.

Sweet because there is no sugar in the recipe, only two tablespoons of honey. Dense so that they don’t turn into applesauce after an hour of stewing.

Various oatmeal recipes can be prepared by people on a strict medical diet. This fruit and milk recipe contains everything the body needs and nothing harmful (you don’t need to add salt).

For those who have a sick stomach or a lack of vitamins in the body, you can add a tablespoon of flax seeds, crushed in a coffee grinder, to porridge recipes along with oatmeal.

Spices can be different from those in the recipe. Some people don't like the smell of cinnamon. Then the dish can be made with vanilla sugar. Instead of honey, if you are concerned about allergies, use brown sugar or maple syrup.

Oatmeal for cooking should be in a ratio of liquid to approximately one part to four (one part cereal and four parts water). This is explained by the fact that when cooked, oatmeal increases in size four times, absorbing liquid.

Let's start cooking

Ingredients:

Recipe

Step 1

It is necessary to prepare all the components of the recipe. Wash the apples thoroughly. Peel and seed, cut into small pieces. Chop the walnuts and lightly fry in a frying pan.

Step 2

Grease the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil, put apples on the bottom, pour a glass of oat flakes on top (a two-hundred-gram glass contains 80 grams of oat flakes).

Add honey, butter, cinnamon. Pour milk mixed with clean boiled water (the milk should also be boiled). Add a pinch of salt.

Step 3

After putting all the components of the porridge into the multicooker, close the lid and set the “Stew” mode for an hour. For oatmeal, twenty minutes is enough to get ready.

But in the “Extinguishing” mode the temperature is not maintained at a high temperature, up to 100 degrees, so the porridge will not burn.

Step 4

After a sound signal indicating the completion of the process, the finished porridge should be stirred with a spoon and tasted. You can, if desired, add a little sugar or honey and butter.

Oatmeal dessert prepared in the Polaris multicooker is laid out on plates and sprinkled with toasted walnuts.

Enjoy your meal!

How to prepare a hearty and healthy breakfast without much hassle and time? Here, oatmeal in a slow cooker with milk will help you out. Thanks to the kitchen assistant, the porridge will not “run away” and will not burn. And if your device has a delayed start option, then you can add all the ingredients in the evening and get a ready-made breakfast in the morning.

Culinary subtleties: how to cook oatmeal with milk in a slow cooker?

In order for the porridge, as they say, to be a great success, when preparing it in a slow cooker, listen to the advice of experienced chefs.

Cooking secrets:

  • The multicooker container, as well as the valve and lid, must be absolutely clean. If there are food residues on them, the smell will be absorbed by the oatmeal.
  • Oatmeal flakes are not washed, but are immediately filled with liquid.
  • When cooking porridge in a slow cooker, you need more milk than when cooking it in the usual way on the stove. Recommended proportions: 4 multi-glasses of milk per 1 tbsp. oatmeal.
  • Stir the oatmeal with a wooden or plastic spatula.
  • The following options are suitable for cooking oatmeal: “Milk porridge”, “Cereals”, and also “Pilaf”. The time depends on the power of your device. For example, oatmeal in a Redmond multicooker will be ready in twenty minutes.

Advice! You can complement the taste of oatmeal with nuts, dried apricots, coconut flakes, dates, raisins, fruits or berries. Instead of granulated sugar, you can add honey to the porridge, and vanilla or cinnamon will add flavor to the dish.

Traditional English breakfast

Oatmeal in the Polaris multicooker with milk is a true English breakfast. Serve porridge with berries or fruits, and your household will be charged with positivity for the whole day.

On a note! Why do the British love oatmeal? The whole secret is in its composition! It is rich in phosphorus, calcium, iron and magnesium. And how many B vitamins can be found in oatmeal! And that’s not all: such porridge “tunes” our intestines to work properly.

Compound:

  • 250 ml milk;
  • 75 ml filtered water;
  • 65 g oat flakes;
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar;
  • soft butter;
  • salt.

On a note! You don’t have to dilute the milk with water, but if you are preparing porridge for your baby, then this is a must.

Preparation:

Advice! Do not rush to take out the finished oatmeal. Leave the porridge for 15-20 minutes in the automatic heating program with the lid closed. Then the dish will be more aromatic and tasty.

Cooking Hercules porridge in a slow cooker is as easy as all other porridges. This simple, tasty and very healthy dish is a wonderful breakfast. Hercules porridge can be prepared with milk. If homemade milk is very fatty, and the porridge is being prepared for children, then it is advisable to dilute the milk with water. The main thing is to maintain proportions. For 1 glass of rolled oats there should be 2 glasses of liquid. If you want the porridge to be more liquid than in the photo, you can slightly increase the amount of liquid.

Prepare the necessary products.

Pour oatmeal into the multicooker bowl and fill it with milk and water.

Add sugar. The amount of sugar depends on what you serve the porridge with, and also depends on your taste.

Set the multicooker to “Porridge” mode and cook the porridge with the lid closed.

Since in this mode cooking takes place at a temperature of 90 ° C, I use already boiled or pasteurized milk and boiled water. If your milk and water are not boiled, you can first boil the water and milk, and then add the oatmeal. In order to boil milk and water, you need to pour milk and water into the multicooker bowl and turn on any mode in the multicooker at which the cooking temperature is more than 100°C. For example, this could be the “Rice/Pilaf” mode, which maintains a temperature of 105°C. When the milk and water boil, add the oatmeal. Continue cooking in the “Porridge” mode.

By default, the “Porridge” mode in the multicooker cooks porridge for 1 hour. If you have a time adjustment in your multicooker, you can reduce the time to 30-40 minutes. This is quite enough to get a delicious oatmeal porridge.
