Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • Pink salmon (fillet) - 250 g;
  • Potatoes (medium) - 5 pcs.;
  • Onion (medium) - 1 pc.;
  • Garlic - 2 small cloves;
  • Sour cream - 4 tablespoons;
  • Butter - 2 pieces;
  • Ground pepper;
  • Salt.

Cooking time: 60 min.

How to cook roast fish and potatoes in a pot

1. We check the pre-prepared pink salmon fillet for large bones. We leave small bones, when cut into small pieces, they will be visible and it will be easy to remove them.

2. Cut pink salmon into small pieces, removing small bones. Sprinkle with salt, ground pepper and stir.

3. Peel the onion, chop finely, send it to the prepared pieces of fish and mix again. We leave it in a bowl on the table while we prepare other products.

4. Peel the potatoes, cut each tuber into 4 parts and chop into thin slices. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and stir. Peel the garlic cloves.

5. For cooking, use clay pots (2 pcs.) with a volume of 500 ml. At the bottom of the pots we send prepared slices of potatoes in parts and 1 clove of garlic. We lay the potatoes from below so that when baking it is saturated with the aromas of fish, sour cream and butter.

6. Fragrant pieces of fish with onions are spread in parts on potatoes. Pour in water (100 ml). If in the end you need to get more broth, then add water so that it half covers the layer of fish.

7. Add sour cream on top (2 tablespoons each) and distribute it over the entire surface.

8. We spread a piece of butter on top, and the preparation of the pink salmon roast is completed. We do not fill the pots to the very top, otherwise, when baking, the liquid will boil strongly and come out through the top. As a result, the pots will become dirty and the plaque formed on them will be difficult to wash.

9. We cover the dishes with lids, put them in a cold oven on a baking sheet or wire rack. Turn on the oven at 220 degrees and cook a gentle roast for 50 minutes. There will be amazing aromas in the kitchen.

10. Tender and very tasty pink salmon in pots with potatoes is ready. We take the roast out of the oven, open it and rearrange it on small plates. Serve immediately with fresh crispy bread and your favorite pickles. A salad of fresh cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper, lettuce with olive oil dressing and balsamic vinegar is also perfect for such a dish.

  • According to this principle, roast with fish and potatoes in pots can be prepared from any sea and river fish. It is better to take a fish with a minimum number of bones, so that they are easy to remove.
  • Marinated fish fillet can be supplemented with any spices. Ground coriander seeds, dried thyme or oregano are great.
  • To diversify the dish, add other vegetables. Potatoes can be combined with pieces of eggplant, zucchini, broccoli, carrots or cauliflower. Then reduce the amount of potatoes.

From this amount of ingredients, 3 pots with a volume of about 400 ml are obtained.

COOKING PROCESS

We will prepare the products according to the list.

First of all, we gut the pink salmon, wash it and cut it into fillets. Then cut the fillet into small pieces.

We cut the peeled potatoes into cubes, onions into small cubes, carrots into circles or semicircles (but you can also grate on a coarse grater). The ingredients are prepared, and now all that is required of us is to lay out the products in layers in pots.

At the bottom of the pot lay out the potatoes cut into cubes, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.

Then lay out the salmon. Salt and pepper.

On a layer of fish, spread the onion cut into small cubes.

Lay carrot slices on top of the onion. A little salt and pepper, but this is optional.

We put sour cream on top, but mayonnaise is also possible. Pour water into the pots, close the lids and place in an oven preheated to 180-190 degrees for 40-60 minutes. After 40 minutes, check the readiness of vegetables with a knife or skewer.

It used to be a good time. Thursday is fish day. In all canteens, buffets and restaurants of the country, fish dishes were a priority. Like it or not, everyone had to join the “fish culinary culture”. Of course, provided that the working person did not hide in the nightstand a little bacon with a piece of lard and a three-liter can of borscht.

But the fish, in addition to its unconditional usefulness, always looks aesthetically pleasing. Here, for example, is a wonderful Sunday dish - pink salmon baked in a pot in sour cream with mushrooms. I mentioned this dish a couple of days ago in a Mediterranean recipe.

Pink salmon fish is not expensive and is very common on the shelves of our stores. Buying it is not a problem and preparing it too. The fish is not greasy, dense with excellent taste.

List of ingredients

You will need: 500 g pink salmon fillet, 400-500 g fresh mushrooms, 350 g sour cream, 250 g hard cheese, 60 g butter, 1 large onion, lemon and a bunch of fresh herbs, seasonings to taste (ground ginger , coriander, oregano, etc.), pepper, salt.

You can take any mushrooms - champignons, mushrooms, chanterelles, oyster mushrooms. Almost any species will do, except, of course, toadstools and fly agarics. 🙂 Mushrooms are boiled, then finely chopped and fried in vegetable oil for about 10 minutes. Finely chopped onions are added to the mushrooms and all this is stewed until half cooked.

Pink salmon undergoes primary preparation - it is washed, cut into portions, coated with a marinade of lemon juice and vegetable oil (preferably olive), and all this should be placed in the refrigerator for marinating for about forty minutes.

You can take a baking dish, but I prefer clay pots for such dishes. Mushrooms with onions are laid out at the bottom, sour cream on top, then a piece of butter and only after that pieces of fish. Do not forget to salt and pepper, add spices.

After these procedures, you need to inspect the remaining ingredients and make sure that there is still some sour cream, herbs and cheese left. Mix sour cream with chopped herbs, coat the fish with it and sprinkle grated cheese on top.

The dish will be ready in 30-40 minutes, if you do not forget to place the pots in the oven, heated to 180 degrees. Tasty eat!

Clay pots for cooking always help out in the kitchen. They help out because even a simple potato with fish, meat, or by itself in them turns out to be very special in taste - not the same as when baked on a baking sheet or even when stewed in a slow cooker. Products:

  • fish (pink salmon) - 0.4-0.5 kg;
  • potatoes - 1-1.5 kg;
  • seasoning for fish;
  • onion - 150-200 g (one medium-sized head);
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • butter - 6 tbsp. spoons;
  • mayonnaise - 12 tbsp. spoons;
  • cheese 150-200 g;
  • sunflower oil - 6 tbsp. spoons;
  • filtered water;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.
  • Cooking. Cut the salmon into small pieces and arrange in pots.

    We cut the carrots into half rings, and the onions - arbitrarily, but not too large. On top of the pieces of fish lay out the carrots and half the onion.

    Salt everything well and you can pepper to taste. Next, cut the potatoes into cubes and put them in pots.

    Place the rest of the chopped onion on top of the potatoes. Salt again and sprinkle generously with seasoning for fish.

    Put the next layer of potatoes until the pot is full. Don't forget to salt. In a pot, put 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil and butter.

    It is necessary to pour a little water into the pot to extinguish, about a little less than half the pot. It is not necessary to pour a lot of water, otherwise the water will overflow during the cooking process. So don't overdo it with water. Lubricate the surface of the potato with mayonnaise.

    And the last stage - three cheese on a grater and sprinkle mayonnaise on top.

    Ready pots can be sent to a preheated oven for about an hour, where they need to be kept at a temperature of 300 degrees.

    Focus on your oven: you can check the readiness by the state of the potatoes after 40-45 minutes. As soon as the contents of the pots are ready, serve them to guests on boards, as the bottom is very hot and can burn the tablecloth or leave an unwanted stain. Potatoes with fish cooked in pots can be served with your winter preparations - for example, cucumbers or tomatoes.
