Pictures of wine. Pictures painted with wine

Wine inspires, dilates blood vessels, clears the mind... Isn't that why many brilliant creative people were accused of not being able to spend a day without its intoxicating company? Attached to the bottle and the Italian artist Elisabetta Rogai. But not in this sense. She has long been known both in her native Florence and far beyond its borders, as a talented painter whose paintings were painted wine.

Neither the limited color palette, nor the variability of alcohol, nor the other difficulties that accompany painting stopped Elisabetta. For many years she tried to find the very ideal technique that would allow her to fully use wine instead of paint, and eventually settled on the only technique suitable for her, developed by the Florentine professor Roberto Bankini. So, the artist uses only red and white wine, without specifying the strength, first outlining the contours of the future drawing with charcoal. And no additional dyes!

The "feature" of the paintings painted with wine is that their color changes over time due to the fact that the wine ages and acquires new shades. When the drink is stored in a bottle, we cannot observe this process. On the canvas, everything happens much faster - and more clearly. Therefore, each work of Elisabetta Rogai is the one and only. There is no other like it and there cannot be.

As you probably understood, the artist paints (non-)wine paintings on the most ordinary canvases for painting, but she can use other fabrics as an experiment. She even has a whole series of paintings, the basis for which was jeans. And so that the wine does not fade, the artist uses a special mixture based on water and flour.

Wine has served as an inspiration for creators more than once. And now we are not talking about the fact that after the very first glass the muse comes, but about the very image of wine, which is captured in more than one picture, is sung in more than one poem.

But there is absolutely unusual ways combine this drink of the gods and creativity. For example, to draw with wine, like the Italian artist Elisabetta Rogai, for example.

We admit honestly, we could not reveal all the secrets of such drawing. One thing we know for sure: she paints with red and white wine. In addition, for her there is a difference between wine that is worth drinking and one that is better for painting. Well, that's what they are - Italians: they know a lot about Italian wines.

Usually in such cases it is better to show than to speak, so let's start demonstrating pictures.

Remarkably, the wine continues to age even on canvas. Therefore, the color of the paintings is different: in the recently painted (I would like to say, as about young wine) paintings, there are more bright red and purple hues, but in the paintings with “exposure” brown and ocher tones appear.

We will nevertheless reveal one secret to you so that you are not tormented by questions about how she does this. So, Elisabetta paints only with wine, without chemical additives. True, he uses water and flour so that the paintings grow old, but do not fade at all.

Each such picture is unique. It is worth paying tribute to the talent of the artist, who managed to create such masterpieces, having such a meager choice of colors and raw materials.

So, if you have nothing to do at your leisure, then you may well try to master this type of creativity. Start with something simpler: with Kolobok, for example. But it is better to drink wine bought in the WineStreet store and discover your own special talents.

Polytech students Roman and Alexander Martikov decided to diversify the bar and quest leisure of the townspeople. In search of new activity, the brothers came across an Omsk project built on simultaneous tasting and drawing. Startupers have developed the northern concept into a full-fledged service: the Malevich project team is invited to weddings and corporate parties as an alternative to artless alcohol entertainment. We learned how much it costs to go home with your own painting, who the organizers are counting on, and how much wine you can drink at the meeting.

No harder than holding a glass

Art parties "Malevich" are held in the format of drawing lessons. Plot or abstraction - the process is explained step by step and controlled by a guest artist/artist. Special skills in painting are not required - you can come with a clean slate. However, according to the guys, the graduates of the “artists” also look at the parties: they say it’s not interesting to draw at home alone with the muse.

First of all, our parties are relaxation, and the ability to draw does not decide

Roman Martikov:“We do not position the lesson as a master class. At workshops, they teach cool drawing, explain the intricacies of fine art. We pay attention to learning, but first of all we want to create a relaxing atmosphere: our parties are recreation, and the ability to draw does not solve.

To make the event a full-fledged and comfortable way of entertainment for both pros and laymen, the organizers have thought of everything, from the choice of paint to decorative elements on the easels. At the same time, prices did not break - a ticket costs 1,500 rubles.

Cafes and restaurants have become locations for art parties - venues with music and an informal atmosphere

Roman Martikov:“We tried several types of fabric and through trial and error, we picked up a cotton canvas on which the paint fits perfectly. The Russian ones were immediately dismissed: they are not bright enough and fade quickly. The first batch of non-toxic acrylic from the United States was rejected at customs. We found an alternative in Amsterdam with a representative office in Russia. The easels were made by ourselves, and small mustaches were carved on each as a unique decoration. Aprons were ordered in the atelier - you won’t get dirty with paints or wine. ”

The creators of leisure chose the locations for meetings based on their relaxation concept. You involuntarily tense up in the art space, so we decided to lodge in cafes and restaurants. The first iso party was accepted by "Jam", the second - by the art bar "Y". In the future, following the example of the Omsk maleviches, they plan to hold a wine tasting, and they are considering a photo studio as a venue for one of the upcoming classes - so as not to stay too long in restaurants.

You don’t have time to drink more than one glass - you are too passionate about the process

The goal of the guys is to show that it is possible to take a break from work not only on Fridays, but to have a good time - it does not always mean having a good time. That is why Malevich is not a weekend event.

But if an alcoholic drink is still of interest, then an alternative to red semi-sweet can be a stronger analogue or completely non-alcoholic. The guys consider the drink of bohemia a priority: wine adds the right aesthetics to meetings and does not let you get drunk. More than one glass, according to the ideologists of the project, no one drinks during the entire time of the art marathon - everyone is too passionate about the process.

3 hour art therapy

The group can accommodate up to 25 participants. Despite the fact that everyone draws the same thing - a workpiece of an artist / artist, it is not necessary to trace - rather, on the contrary. Firstly, you will leave with your own work, and secondly, you will not strain yourself, trying to repeat the sample thoroughly.

We do not have complicated landscapes or still lifes: we rely on the general availability

Roman Martikov:“This is real art therapy. Such drawing is much cooler than the same anti-stress coloring. You just paint your own picture, repeating only the basics. Unlike “coloring books”, you don’t have to fit into contours. We will not have complex landscapes and still lifes: we bet on public accessibility. For example, we are planning a pop art evening.”

The three hours that the lesson lasts, the guests do not sit in deathly silence, and you can talk not only about art. The intensive is interrupted by ten-minute breaks - to take a break, discuss what was written or take a picture.

Corporate event in an IT company or kindergarten

Even at the start, the brothers identified a wide audience for their service. One of the options is team building, which, according to the idea of the creators of "Malevich", is especially relevant for IT employees, managers and other knowledge workers. The calculation is clear: while the act of creativity involves the right hemisphere of the brain, the left is resting. The painted pictures can be hung in the office. In general, application options are like shades of paint. So, for example, brides are already ordering art therapy as entertainment on the second day of the wedding. The plans include children's matinees, under which easels are already being made. In general, "Malevich" has no age or professional qualifications - it should be interesting to everyone who is tired of the monotonous leisure and wants to get not a hangover, but some kind of personal masterpiece.

Saturday is the day that you want to spend, for example, with friends, in a cafe, restaurant, drink wine and relax. On September 30, we did just that: only it was not a banal gathering, but an evening in the company of a pretty and sociable Julia Sokolova- sommelier and teacher of wine painting.

Yulia has the 1st Med and the Moscow Architectural Institute behind her, but she found herself precisely “in wine”.

Our lesson started with brief digression into history region of Galicia(in the northwest of Spain), whose wines we then tasted, accompanied by tapas from PaPaella cafe(and his chef Viktor Lobzin).

Galicia is a green region bordering Portugal, where there are many forests, a mild humid Atlantic climate, a lot of rainfall and mild winters, not very hot summers. This is, first of all, the area of white wines, Julia said, where the influence of the Moors was small, unlike the east and south of Spain, the zone remained Christian. Winemaking in this region, like throughout Europe, is associated with winemaking in monasteries.

white wines at our tasting

We started the tasting with a variety Albariño- dry white wine ZARATE (Albarino Rias Baixas VAL DO SALNES) 2016. We discussed shades and tones in wine - minerality, floral shades, green apple, peach, chalk and honey at the end, enveloping, round, with good acidity, low alcohol content (12.5%).

We tried tapas with jamon, foie gras, tuna, cheese with grapes - excellent with white wine.

The king of white wines, Julia said, is Sauvignon blanc. Grapes in Galicia are grown exclusively by hand, the mountainous terrain does not allow the use of machinery, pergolas are used in the terraced arrangement of vineyards.

The second wine in our tasting - varieties Godello. It is produced by the Palacius family, whose importance for winemaking can be compared with the importance of Christian Dior for fashion. The grape grows in the Valdeorras region (“or” - gold in Spanish), the variety itself comes from Valencia, Yulia said. Dry white wine LOURO DO BOLO Godello Rafael Palacios Valdeorras (alcohol 13.5%). We noticed such flavors - pebbles, sea, shale, (I felt the minerality of pineapple in the aftertaste). After it stood, thyme, rosemary and spices appeared.

Raphael Palacius, the youngest brother in the family, fell in love with this variety and brought godello to a high level on 26 different sites in the mountains.

The first wine with astringent ink-violet tannins is a young red dry from the Castillo and León region EL CASTRO DE VALTUILLE 2015 Mencia Joven DO Bierzo Raul Perez and the second aged 2013 (with the same data) with notes of brick, earth, needles, spices , fruits, blueberries and blackberries, pearls, rich color.

wines for tasting

With these wines we then began to draw. Drawing with wine is a rare art, Julia has developed her own techniques.

kind of tutorial from Julia

my first sketches

First, we tasted wine on paper (I drew a pear, which everyone mistook for a pomegranate). Then they made sketches of the vine, with a preliminary drawing in pencil. I am an artist from the word "bad", so do not judge strictly)). Julia taught us how to draw grapes to get volume. Next, we moved on to the main picture. Careless technique (without a pencil and careful drawing) of painting foliage. They gave us more paint - evaporated wine for brown and burgundy shades. We painted the foliage in brown, grapes in burgundy. Julia praised my foliage. I plan to make a frame and hang my picture on the wall in the country)).
