chocolate surprise

This is more of a table decoration than a dessert. And if the dessert is made of chocolate, then it cannot be just a decoration.
I will tell you how easy it is to make a Christmas tree out of chocolate - it will be a wonderful decoration for any table. And especially New Year's.

For cooking you will need:

  • Dark chocolate - 200 g
  • Coconut flakes - optional.

Cooking:

  1. Take 2/3 of the volume of chocolate and melt it in a water bath (do not boil).
  2. Once the chocolate has melted, remove the chocolate from the heat and add the remaining 1/3 of the chocolate, stirring gently until all the chocolate has melted.
  3. To make blanks for the Christmas tree: put the chocolate on a cutting board covered with baking paper with a tablespoon. Stretch the chocolate (as in the photo below) to make stars (the middle should be thicker than the branches). Chocolate blanks should be of different sizes - from large to small.
  4. Send the blanks (along with the board) to the refrigerator. When the blanks have hardened, separate them from the board with a thin knife.
  5. We collect the Christmas tree (from large "stars" to small ones) - we place the blanks on top of each other and fasten them with melted chocolate.
  6. Place the tree in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  7. Remove the Christmas tree from the refrigerator and decorate: put drops of melted chocolate on the branches and sprinkle coconut flakes. Get a Christmas tree powdered with snow.

Here are some of the most interesting ways to make a DIY Christmas tree from candies:

Candy tree and champagne bottles

You will need:

Empty bottle of champagne or wine

Scissors

Lots of small sweets

Bright tape.

2. Start sticking the candies to the bottle using tape, starting from the bottom and moving towards the neck of the bottle.

*Make sure that one end of the candy touches the end of the adjacent candy.

3. Glue each next row a little higher than the previous one so that the candies lean on each other - so the tree will be more magnificent.

4. There should not be more than 4 sweets on the very top of the head. You can also add a bow or stick an asterisk with tape.

5. Pull the ribbon down from the top of the tree.

How to make a gift tree from candies with your own hands

You will need:

Several candies

Green cardboard

Scissors

Red ribbon

PVA glue.

Text instructions after the video.

1. Cut out a 25 cm x 5 cm strip of green cardboard.

2. Divide this strip into three parts, which will then need to be bent - make marks for future folds at 8 cm, 16 cm and 24 cm.

Also divide this strip lengthwise in half.

3. Bend the strip in half lengthwise, apply PVA glue to one half and glue both halves.

4. Using the marks made in step 2, fold the strip into a triangle. You have got a frame for the future packaging of sweets in the form of a green Christmas tree.

5. We make shelves for sweets inside the package:

5.1. Prepare a paper strip measuring 25 cm x 5 cm, and make marks on it every 2.5 cm (i.e. 2.5 cm, 5 cm, 7.5 cm, etc.).

5.2. Cut the strip in half lengthwise.

5.3. Cut one of the halves in half across at the 10 cm mark.

You will have 3 strips: 10 cm, 15 cm and 25 cm.

5.4. Fold each strip as shown in the image (zigzag) to get several triangles.

6. Insert your shelves inside the frame (Christmas tree): a long strip folds into shelves for the bottom row, a medium one for the middle and a small one folds into a triangle and is inserted into the top of the "Christmas tree".

7. Start inserting candies into the cells of your Christmas tree.

8. Take a ribbon 45 cm long and tie it to the Christmas tree.

If you wish, you can make a trunk for your Christmas tree out of brown cardboard. You can also put sweets in it (see video). It can be attached with double sided tape.

* You can decorate the Christmas tree as you like.

Decorations to taste (ribbon, beads, artificial flowers, Christmas decorations).

Chocolate cake decorations

We all love cakes. And it is doubly pleasant if they are prepared with their own hands.
But bake a little a delicious cake. If it is tasty, but lying on a dish like a ruin, then the effect will be crumpled, and the guests will not be delighted.
I offer you several options for decorating a cake with chocolate.
Chocolate decorations are the prettiest and really not that hard to make. We all rubbed chocolate on top of the cake. But the imagination of culinary specialists is not limited to this!

Openwork patterns, mesh, lace

To prepare chocolate decorations - nets, antennae, hearts, flowers - you need to drop a few drops of alcohol into the chocolate icing and mix quickly with a spoon. The mass should be thick, but not hard. If the icing flows slowly from the spoon, then it is ready to work. If the mass immediately froze, it means sleep
Now take thick paper, draw a pattern, put a sheet of tracing paper on the paper or parchment paper. Prepare a bag, fill it 2/3 with chocolate icing, close it tightly on top, cut off the tip and start drawing.
It is necessary to squeeze out the chocolate icing slowly, exactly according to the drawing. When you have circled the drawings, put the sheet on the board and refrigerate.

chocolate leaves

Wash a few leaves of a rose or other plant, put in a paper towel and dry. Place white chocolate in a fireproof bowl and melt in a water bath. Dip one side of each leaf into liquid chocolate. Place on a wire rack and let dry. Carefully remove the real leaves from the chocolate ones.

chocolate figurines

Chocolate figures in the form of rhombuses, flowers, circles, etc. can be obtained as follows.

chocolate icing Spread thinly on parchment paper and refrigerate. Various metal molds are suitable for cutting. Press the mold on the chocolate icing, pry the decoration with a knife and carefully separate it from the paper.

chocolate chips

Chips can be obtained from chocolate in two ways.

1. We place a large bar of chocolate (without filler) in a warm place, and then cut off the chocolate with a sharp knife at an angle - while it folds into tubes. We cool the tubes and decorate the cake with them.

2. Pour a thin layer of chocolate icing onto a corrugated surface, cool, and then cut off with a sharp knife or scraper.

To sprinkle the top and side surfaces of cakes, chips are also made.

1. Three chocolate on a coarse grater, cool the chips, and then sprinkle the cake.

2. cold chocolate we put it perpendicular to the table and cut it at an angle with a sharp knife. We collect chocolate chips and sprinkle it on a cake or pastry.

Chocolate stains

You will need white and dark chocolate. Melt both types in a separate bowl and use a spoon to apply on the surface of the cake in the form of circles or stripes. Then run a kitchen knife over the chocolate in such a way that a train from the other extends to one color of chocolate.

chocolate stripes

You will need heavy foil, a sheet of heavy plastic wrap, a spatula, and two rolling pins.

If you need the most ordinary waves, similar to ribbons, then use thick plastic wrap. Cut it into strips of the width and length you need and apply melted chocolate on them with a spatula. Fasten the rolling pins together so that there is a small distance between them - 3-5 centimeters, and transfer the strips with chocolate to them. Now carefully transfer the resulting design to the refrigerator and let the chocolate harden. Once this has happened, carefully cut off the edges of the strips to remove excess chocolate, and only then remove the film. Your waves are ready!

If you need a more complex design, then take a thick foil and cut out of it the figure that you plan to get in the end. This is not at all difficult to do, because the foil easily takes the shape we need. After the mold is ready, gently spread the melted chocolate on it and refrigerate for two to three hours. After this time, separate the foil from the chocolate. This should be done carefully, constantly checking if there is a piece of foil left in the chocolate. Until the moment of serving, such a decoration is best kept in the refrigerator.

350 g dark chocolate powdered sugar

1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath. Let it thicken a little while stirring.

2. Cover the table with parchment.

3. Transfer the chocolate to a pastry bag and squeeze 10 crosses onto the parchment. The largest one is about 25 cm, each subsequent one is smaller, the last one is about 1.5 cm. (Leave some chocolate to mold the Christmas tree.) Cut the ends of the crosses with a knife so that they are sharp.

4. Now we will assemble a Christmas tree from the details. Drop a little melted chocolate into the center of a large dish, put the largest cross, peeling it off the paper, continue gluing the Christmas tree with a pyramid, each time dripping chocolate into the center and gluing the next cross with an offset. Let the tree take root.

5. Sprinkle before serving. powdered sugar.

Chocolate glazed berries

You can glaze cherries, strawberries, grapes, gooseberries, raspberries and other fruits, as well as vegetables. For glazing, the berries must be washed, dried or wiped with a napkin.

Pour frosting into a bowl. We take the berry by the handle, lower it 1/2 or completely into the glaze, take it out and put it on a clean parchment sheet. After 2 minutes, we again take the stalk and transfer the berry to another sheet, thereby removing excess icing from the berry. Ready berries are placed in the refrigerator.

Before the New Year and Christmas, shops are simply bursting with an abundance of holiday toys, decorations and miniature gifts. For every taste you can find gizmos for home decor and New Year's table, various edible surprises and cozy little things. However, home-made products are still valued more, and they bring a special, lively warmth to the house. Even if they are made of melting chocolate.

The original gift-treat "Chocolate Tree" promises a certain amount of trouble. First, we will prepare the Christmas tree, and then we will vigorously pull the children by the ears from the chocolate needles. Ready? Then let's get started.

On a note:

- The tiles should be just chocolate, without additives. It is advisable to take non-porous chocolate, but if there is no other, let's say porous.

- If you are making a Christmas tree for the first time, stock up on 2-3 syringes (they love to spoil at the most inopportune moment).

Tiles should be just chocolate, no additives. It is advisable to take non-porous chocolate, but if there is no other, let's say porous.

If you are making a Christmas tree for the first time, stock up on 2-3 syringes (they love to spoil at the most inopportune moment).

Draw stars on the parchment, from small for the top to large for the base. The more stars are drawn, the higher the finished Christmas tree will be.

Break (cut) the chocolate into small pieces so that they enter the syringe.

Put the pieces of chocolate into the syringes, how much will go in.

Take a syringe with dark chocolate, put it in the microwave and melt the chocolate.
Set the microwave to maximum power different types chocolate (dark, white, bitter, milk) melt differently, and the power of microwaves is different.

Important! Check the chocolate for doneness every 10-15 seconds. At this stage, you need to watch the chocolate very carefully, otherwise it will burn, and not only it, but also the syringe.

When the chocolate in the syringe runs out, put the pieces inside again and melt.

Similarly, melt the white chocolate in the second syringe and draw outlines on the stars.

Carefully transfer the parchment to the refrigerator for flat surface. In the refrigerator, the stars will harden for about 20-30 minutes, and if you put them in the freezer, they will harden even faster.

Melt dark chocolate again in a syringe, drip a little on a saucer or a special stand.

Put the largest star on top, and also drop chocolate on it in the middle.

Lay out the penultimate star, and again drip chocolate,

to the very end - to the smallest star - lay out the Christmas tree from the bottom up.
