Plastic cells for quail eggs:

The optimal number of cells for small quail eggs is 10-30 pcs. Because the price of the packaging itself and the packaging process are almost the same, but the number of eggs is more. Definitely, there is a demand on the market for packages of 50 cells.

Plastic cells for quail eggs

Plastic containers have their own advantages over other types of quail egg packaging:

  • you can make a transparent container, this makes it possible to see broken eggs, their cleanliness and, in general, "goods on the face."
  • plastic containers for quail eggs can reliably protect against light mechanical stress.
  • easy to store, transport and use both with eggs and in the empty version.
  • well-thought-out design and shape of the packaging for quail eggs makes it possible to "breathe" the delicate product, which can increase the shelf life of the eggs.
  • plastic containers for quail eggs are not afraid of moisture or accidentally broken eggs.
  • the design of the locks provides reliable protection for both the eggs themselves and the buyer from accidental opening of the package.

Cardboard boxes for quail eggs

We produce packaging for quail eggs using the paper molding method. Unlike plastic, there is no fogging effect when the ambient temperature changes. Longer shelf life of the egg. Capacity of the container is 20 eggs. Folded size 135x160x45 mm. Color options can be as follows: unpainted, yellow, green. It is possible to design and print any self-adhesive label.

Waste paper packaging is soft and at the same time tough, can replace foam and plastic, does not contain harmful impurities and is easily recycled. Recycled paper can be vacuum formed into packaging of any shape.

Advantages of quail cardboard packaging:

  • The price of cardboard packaging for quail eggs is the lowest.
  • A thick layer of porous cardboard is a good protection against damage, because. partially compensates for shock loads. It is more difficult to break eggs in a cardboard container.
  • The thermal insulation properties of cardboard are better than those of plastic. Opaque cardboard packaging will protect the goods from direct sunlight, and thick walls - from hypothermia.
  • Cardboard packaging can be printed, while plastic container manufacturers still have to rely on paper suppliers to create labels and stickers. And this increases the cost.
  • Unlike plastic, there is no fogging effect when the ambient temperature changes, which means a longer shelf life of the egg.
  • Easy disposal, recyclable.

You can also buy egg cells from us in various options performance, colors, and number of cells.

Types of packaging:

  • Closed cardboard grids for 18, 20, 30 eggs, which have a designer print.
  • Plastic, polycarbonate closed nets.
  • Open trays with sections (cells), plastic and cardboard.
  • Cardboard boxes without cells with separators. Used with gaskets made of soft materials, incl. natural origin (for example, from straw). Gives the package an elitism, environmental friendliness and rapprochement with nature.

The difference between quail eggs and chicken eggs is that the shell is thinner, the weight of quail eggs is about 14 grams. If you store quail eggs for a long time, they dry out, and chicken ones become rotten. Quail eggs are small, i.e. the size of the packing cells in the container is also not large.

We will prepare and print labels for packaging eggs with the logo of your farm or poultry farm, quail farm. Quail breeders will be happy.

Man has long known excellent taste and healing properties quail eggs. According to their dietary characteristics, they are superior to chicken, yielding to the latter only in size and weight. Therefore, breeders are increasingly thinking about breeding quails. And the first step to success is breeding full-fledged chickens in home incubators. You can buy a quail incubator or make your own. We will talk about this in this article.

Quail breeding has its own nuances. The main thing is that in the process of their domestication, females have almost completely lost their "maternal" instinct - the instinct of incubation of their eggs. Thus, almost the only real way to breed chicks in a poultry farm was an incubator.

Females have almost lost the "maternal" instinct

And this means that the incubation device should completely replace the mother hen, creating all the necessary conditions for the egg for the normal development of the embryo and the timely release of the chick.

It should be noted that a home-made quail incubator fundamentally differs little from similar products for chicken eggs. This applies, among other things, to the materials from which such a device is created.

In particular, for this purpose, you can safely use the body of an old refrigerator that has worked out its age, an ordinary cardboard box or a plywood box that is unnecessary in the household. But in all cases, the product must be reliably insulated. This can be achieved not only by finishing the interior space with standard heat-insulating materials, but also by equipping the incubator with a system of electric incandescent lamps.

It is not recommended to immediately put the device into operation after the end of self-assembly, laying eggs in trays. It is better for some time (for example, 3-4 days) to let the device run “idle”, without eggs. During this time, you can observe its condition and check whether the temperature regime is fully maintained, whether the sensors are working normally, etc.

Simultaneously with the insulation, the interior space in which the masonry is kept must be regularly and efficiently ventilated. This problem is solved by the presence of ventilation holes - inlet and outlet, drilled in the body of the incubator. Their number, as a rule, depends on the volume of the chamber.

As a result, the design, materials and all equipment of the device being formed must fully comply with the strict requirements for the microclimate of the room in which the incubation process is carried out. As a result, the following main parameters should be provided:

  • air temperature – not less than 20°C;
  • temperature inside the incubation chamber - 37-38°C;
  • the optimum humidity is 60-70% (at some moments it rises to 90% for a short time).

The total period of hatching of chicks from laying eggs to the moment of pecking is 17 knocks.

The eggs are laid on a tray and placed in an incubator, leaving intact for the first two days. But already from 3 to 15 days they are regularly turned over, doing this every two hours (in this case, the developing embryo will not stick to the shell).

At the final stage (2 days before the expected pipping), the temperature inside the chamber is brought to 37.5-38°C, and the air humidity is up to 90%. In this case, the eggs themselves are recommended to be periodically sprayed with water (for example, from a spray bottle). After the chicks are completely out of the shell, they are kept in the incubator for another day, thus giving them the opportunity to dry out and adapt to the environment.

For normal incubation, whole (not cracked), medium-sized eggs are suitable. Before laying, it is obligatory to check the eggs on the ovoscope for the presence of embryos in them.

Varieties of quail incubators

Before you start making your own incubator or choosing industrially manufactured equipment, you need to understand for yourself what the schematic diagram of any such device is. And it does not differ in any particular complexity, and in principle any poultry farmer is capable of making a completely productive design with his own hands.

In fact, the designs of all known incubators are reduced to the presence of hermetically made boxes (trays with a bookmark are located in them), lined with heat-insulating materials from the inside, equipped with simple heating and ventilation systems (possibly forced).

For self-manufacturing, a variety of materials and accessories are used, as well as old, unnecessary on the farm and therefore quite affordable designs.

The most economical, according to many private entrepreneurs, is a product made of expanded polystyrene (polystyrene). In any case, foam structures will not need to be additionally insulated, as is the case with another "budget" option from a cardboard box or plywood box.

To date, domestic and foreign industry produces a huge number of items of various types. Such devices can be simpler - with manual egg turning, or they can be more complex - full-fledged machines with remote control / control temperature regime and the level of humidity inside the incubation chamber.

When choosing industrially manufactured equipment, you should not start with a complex and expensive model. Experts advise to start with a simpler and cheaper option, with which you can gain the necessary experience for further work with more "advanced" versions.

In order for home-made devices to have significant competitive advantages over factory counterparts, the poultry farmer will have to think about equipping his device with additional options, such as a forced ventilation system or heating water in a special container to maintain the required humidity level in cases of an emergency power outage.

Well, for those who have chosen a less troublesome, but more expensive way of acquiring an industrial design, it is recommended that when buying, pay attention to some significant points that may affect the final result.

How to choose the right incubator?

Before you go to a specialized store, you should arm yourself with the knowledge of a few simple rules for choosing the optimal model.

First of all, it must be understood that a device designed for larger birds is quite suitable for breeding quails. Almost the only fundamental difference between them is the shape of the lattice, which for quail eggs should have a small mesh.

A quail egg is on average about three times smaller than a chicken egg. Therefore, if the incubator holds, for example, 36 chicken eggs, then up to 84 quail eggs can be placed in it in one tab.

Pay attention to whether the corresponding tray is included in the branded product kit. If such a device that is suitable for the configuration is not available, you should not be very upset - you can always buy it additionally.

Currently, three types of incubators are produced - with manual, mechanical and automatic egg turning. The first option is the cheapest, but also the most troublesome - you will have to regularly change the position of each testicle. The second case is more convenient, since the turning is done here with one movement of the mechanical handle. The automatic option will completely free the poultry farmer from such worries, and the person will only have to program the device for a certain time of the coup.

As practice shows, the difference in the cost of these types of incubators is not critical. At the same time, by paying a little extra for the “machine”, you are freed from the exhausting need to regularly perform the simplest mechanical action.

Automatic devices have their own "cons", which may affect the final choice. In particular, they “handle” the bookmark less delicately than when manually turned over. In addition, according to statistics, it is precisely those devices that are equipped with complex automatic flip systems that fail most often.

Homemade incubator: advantages

Now it's time to find out what the constructive and functional advantages of do-it-yourself incubators at home are. These advantages come down to the following few, but fundamental and indisputable positions:

  1. Simplicity and speed of the project.
  2. Low financial costs for standard materials and relatively simple equipment. The drawings of such products, as a rule, are simple, and a wide variety of and sometimes very unexpected objects and structures can act as an acceptable “building material” - it all depends on the capabilities and ingenuity of the person himself.
  3. The main parameters of the future incubation device can be selected based on individual requests, the actual conditions for breeding chicks and the financial potential of the manufacturer.
  4. The ability to make a completely non-volatile design, for example, if there is a generator running on liquid fuel in the farm.

Making a quail incubator on your own

To make a productive incubator, you will need a wooden box (frame), plywood and foam sheets, metal mesh, incandescent lamps (one 40 W lamp or four 15 W lamps).

StepDescription
1 The frame must be sheathed with plywood. You can additionally insulate the chamber with expanded polystyrene (polystyrene).
2 At the bottom of the resulting box, several ventilation holes are drilled with a diameter of 1 cm.
3 A small viewing window is cut out in the lid of the future incubator, which should be covered with glass. Through this window, the poultry breeder can easily monitor the condition of the eggs and control the current temperature.
4 Just below the cover, you should mount the cartridges for the lamps and connect the electrical wiring to them. Sources of light and heat must be placed in each of the corners.
5 At a height of 10 cm above the bottom, a tray for eggs is fixed. This design is installed on a support made of polystyrene foam bars.
6 The last stage is the tension of the metal mesh over the egg tray. After that, the structure as a whole is ready for operation.

Incubation block from a non-working refrigerator

The body of a used refrigerator is perfect for forming a household incubator. Especially this option will surely appeal to those amateur poultry farmers who experience certain difficulties with parsing drawings.

In addition to ease of installation, the incubator based on the old refrigerator has a significant capacity, a sufficient degree of tightness and excellent thermal insulation properties, which was originally incorporated into its design scheme and functionality.

StepDescription
1 To convert the refrigerator into an impromptu incubator, shelves for food storage are removed from it, replacing them with egg trays, pre-made according to the size of the refrigerator and in accordance with the size of quail eggs.
2 The walls can be additionally insulated from the inside with foam (polystyrene foam) plates.
3 Several holes are drilled in the sidewalls and in the ceiling of the refrigerator (each with a diameter of 1-1.5 cm) to ensure natural air exchange.
4 2-4 cartridges for incandescent lamps are fastened to the ceiling of the chamber with self-tapping screws. Electrical wiring is connected to the cartridges.
5 For convenient turning of the entire bookmark, you can use a metal lever.

For this design, you will need a foam box, an aluminum (plywood) sheet, cans, 2-3 15 W incandescent lamps, a cooler (for uniform heat distribution throughout the chamber).

StepDescription
1 A cooler and lamp sockets are attached to the plywood sheet.
2 Shielding surfaces are made from cans - to dissipate thermal radiation emanating from light sources (incandescent lamps).
3 The cooler container is placed at such an angle that is necessary for effective blowing of the lamps.
4 A viewing window (hole) of arbitrary shape is cut out in the lid of the base box. Using an adhesive mixture, the window is closed with glass.
5 To securely retain heat inside the chamber, it must first be insulated with a layer of foil polyethylene.
6 Be sure to drill several ventilation holes in the case.
7 A grid with 40x30 mm cells is laid out at the bottom of the incubator and a piece of wire is attached to it. It will be required in the future to set in motion a grate designed for convenient periodic turning of quail eggs.
8 A container with water is installed on the lowest level of the box, designed to maintain the required level of humidity throughout the entire process.

This homemade option is the best suited for those cases when a small number of eggs are used to hatch. It is only necessary that the bucket has a lid.

StepDescription
1 A small viewing window is cut through the lid.
2 A source of thermal radiation is attached to the cover from the inside (one lamp is enough).
3 A mesh tray for eggs is placed in the middle of the converted container.
4 At a distance of 70-80 mm from the bottom, ventilation holes are drilled in the side wall.
5 To maintain the optimal humidity level, pour a little water into the bottom of the bucket.
6 The eggs are turned over by periodically tilting the container slightly. In this case, the angle of inclination should not be more than 45 degrees.

As you can see, the manufacture of incubators for breeding feathered young does not present any particular difficulty for an active person. A quick and thoughtful mastery of a few assembly rules and a great desire will be the key to real success in such a difficult and exciting business as raising quails.

Egg packaging is a means for storing and transporting a fragile product.

It should be multifunctional - only in this case it is possible to protect the eggs from any damage. Modern manufacturers offer containers, for the manufacture of which foam polystyrene, plastic and paper are used.

Traditional option - carton box for quail eggs. It ensures gentle transport of the product. Moreover, it can be used for advertising.

The undoubted advantage of such products is safety for health, since such containers are environmentally friendly and harmless. But there is a drawback - production is possible only to order.

The most widespread plastic packaging for quail eggs. During operation, it does not deform, retains an attractive appearance, but it cannot be called an ideal container. In plastic boxes, the product is clearly visible, but at the same time it is protected from any impact.

Plastic packaging provides ventilation, which in turn guarantees a longer shelf life. Thanks to this, you can refuse to use other containers that do not meet the established hygienic requirements. Containers made of plastic have several important advantages:

  • Ease of use.
  • The transparency of the product allows a good view of the product.
  • Strength guarantees the safety of the product.
  • The design of the locks prevents accidental opening of the package.

Blister packaging is also used to store and transport eggs.

This is a film of different thickness. Thanks to vacuum forming, it can be given any shape. The product can be double-sided. In this case, the package consists of two parts, the connection of which is provided by locking locks. It reliably protects the product from damage.

Currently used for quail eggs different types packaging. The most common:

  • Plastic container.
  • Cardboard trays.
  • Trays and containers packed in shrink film.

Standard quail egg tray- tuberculate gasket with cells, partitions are used between them. They protect the eggs from shock during transportation. As a rule, such a tray is used in combination with a PVC film that wraps around the package, creating a tight sealed package.

The main purpose of the tray is to pack the product for further transportation and sale. The product is placed directly at poultry farms. If desired, the packaging can be customized. For this, labels with data about the product and the manufacturer, a picture, a logo are used.

Trays are an integral part of any incubator. Eggs are laid vertically in them, blunt end up. Shortly before hatching, they are transferred to hatching trays.

Many products have their own packaging. Their presence allows you to safely transport and store goods. Packaging for quail eggs should be multifunctional, because only then it will protect the products from damage. Modern manufacturers use polystyrene, plastic and paper for the manufacture. More details about all types are described in the article.

Quail egg storage

It is better to store the product in the refrigerator, because then it has a much longer shelf life. For this, it is better to use special coasters, but you can leave the eggs in the packages in which they were sold. It is advisable to place them away from fresh meat, fish, as well as from products with a pronounced odor.

If eggs are stored at room temperature, then it is better to leave them in store packaging. It is better to wash them before use, but this should not be done immediately after purchase. Shelf life can be up to 60 days in the refrigerator and up to 30 days at room temperature. For storage, you can use cardboard and plastic containers, which will be discussed in the article.

Cardboard cells

Cardboard packaging for quail eggs is considered traditional. It ensures safe transportation of goods. In addition, it can be used for advertising. Such products are safe for health. It is made by the method of paper molding. Compared to plastic, there is no fogging effect when the air temperature changes.

Eggs will keep longer in this package. Container capacity may vary. The color of the cardboard is different, but gray is usually used. For the box, you can create a product from waste paper that is soft and at the same time hard, serves as a replacement for foam and plastic, does not include impurities.

Advantages of cardboard products

Cardboard packages for quail eggs have the following advantages:

  • low cost;
  • a thick layer of cardboard serves as a reliable protection;
  • better thermal insulation properties compared to plastic;
  • a printed image is applied;
  • easy disposal, used for recycling.

Packaging for quail eggs from the manufacturer is available in different options performance, colors. Products differ in the number of cells.

plastic cells

Used plastic packaging for quail eggs. Compared with other boxes, the product has the following advantages:

  • transparency of the container allows you to see the contents;
  • protection against light mechanical influences;
  • ease of storage, transportation, use;
  • air supply to the product is available;
  • plastic containers do not deteriorate from moisture or broken eggs;
  • Reliable design of locks protects against accidental opening of the package.

Which product is better?

Which better packaging for quail eggs - plastic or cardboard? To understand this, you should take into account some nuances:

  1. Cardboard is formed from recycled materials, it is processed on special equipment. The soaked paper base is formed and dried into a honeycomb structure with or without lids. Corrugated cardboard is used for packaging products that are best placed in boxes with cells. Such products are chosen because of their environmental friendliness, recyclability, long shelf life and bright design. Transportation of products is also safe because there are no gaps.
  2. Plastic is cheaper, better shaped. The product will be lighter in weight, has an aesthetic appearance and goes well with sticky markings. In the manufacture, vacuum equipment is used that can work with polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride. The production process is simplified as no soaking, settling and cleaning is required, as is required with waste paper. Thermoforming devices are used to create containers for eggs and other products.

What is better? In both packages, the products are protected from damage. But if an egg breaks in a plastic product, it spreads and dries out. In a paper container, the product is absorbed and serves as a favorable environment for the reproduction of microorganisms.

Self-manufacturing

You can make a package for quail eggs with your own hands. This will require thick cardboard, for example, from a box, as well as scissors, adhesive tape. From paper, you need to create a box with a lid by gluing the seams with adhesive tape. To prevent eggs from breaking inside, you need to create cells using cardboard strips. In such a container, the products will be protected from mechanical influences.

From the manufacturer

Packages for quail eggs in Moscow are ordered from different companies. Typically, products are needed to transport products to stores and supermarkets. Production is carried out based on the wishes of customers. Products may differ in color, size, shape, and materials.

Since quail eggs are considered a specific product that needs special packaging, special packaging should be purchased for it. It ensures proper transportation and storage. Packaging keeps fresh appearance product.
