Delicious French omelette stuffed with canned tuna. Omelette with canned tuna, recipe with photo Omelette with canned tuna and tomatoes

Tuna omelet can be prepared in two ways. First, let's make an omelette in a pan.

Before proceeding with the preparation of the proposed dish, it is worth mentioning the varieties canned tuna. It comes in whole and slices, flakes, salad, slices and fillets. In our case, it does not matter at all what kind of tuna to buy. Salad tuna is ideal, it is also more affordable, and we don’t have to chop it, but it’s tender in itself, as it is in own juice. If the tuna is larger, then before using, it should be chopped in a bowl with a fork.

Peel the onion, thinly cut into half rings.

Heat up the butter in a frying pan. Put the finely chopped onion into the pan, fry it, stirring, over low heat until soft, without waiting for the onion to brown (about 5 minutes).
Send the chopped canned tuna to the onion, fry for about five more minutes so that the excess liquid evaporates.

Beat eggs, salt and pepper to taste. Pour the egg mixture into the pan with the tuna. Sprinkle with thyme. Fry when done. Cut out the finished omelet with a cookie cutter, giving it the shape of a heart or a circle. Serve with fresh herbs, garnish with chili peppers.

The second way. Omelet with tuna can be cooked in the oven, in which case the omelet turns out to be very airy, like a soufflé. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Repeat the first three steps. Next, grease the molds with butter. Beat eggs with ricotta, salt, pepper, add thyme. Arrange tuna with onions in molds, pour egg mass. It is worth noting that it is not worth pouring to the brim, as the omelet rises very well. Bake for 20-25 minutes, the readiness will be informed by a ruddy cap. Serve immediately, as the omelette falls off quickly.

Benefits of Fried Eggs with Tuna and Tomatoes

  • Vitamin A is responsible for normal development, reproductive function, skin and eye health, and maintaining immunity.
  • Vitamin B2 participates in redox reactions, increases the susceptibility of color by the visual analyzer and dark adaptation. Inadequate intake of vitamin B2 is accompanied by a violation of the condition of the skin, mucous membranes, impaired light and twilight vision.
  • Choline is part of lecithin, plays a role in the synthesis and metabolism of phospholipids in the liver, is a source of free methyl groups, acts as a lipotropic factor.
  • Vitamin B5 participates in protein, fat, carbohydrate metabolism, cholesterol metabolism, the synthesis of a number of hormones, hemoglobin, promotes the absorption of amino acids and sugars in the intestine, supports the function of the adrenal cortex. A lack of pantothenic acid can lead to damage to the skin and mucous membranes.
  • Vitamin B12 plays an important role in the metabolism and transformations of amino acids. Folate and vitamin B12 are interrelated vitamins involved in hematopoiesis. A lack of vitamin B12 leads to the development of partial or secondary folate deficiency, as well as anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.
  • Vitamin D maintains homeostasis of calcium and phosphorus, carries out the processes of mineralization of bone tissue. A lack of vitamin D leads to impaired calcium and phosphorus metabolism in bones, increased demineralization of bone tissue, which leads to an increased risk of osteoporosis.
  • Vitamin H participates in the synthesis of fats, glycogen, amino acid metabolism. Insufficient intake of this vitamin can lead to disruption of the normal condition of the skin.
  • Vitamin PP participates in redox reactions of energy metabolism. Inadequate vitamin intake is accompanied by a violation of the normal state of the skin, gastrointestinal intestinal tract and nervous system.
  • Phosphorus takes part in many physiological processes, including energy metabolism, regulates acid-base balance, is part of phospholipids, nucleotides and nucleic acids, is necessary for the mineralization of bones and teeth. Deficiency leads to anorexia, anemia, rickets.
  • Chlorine necessary for the formation and secretion of hydrochloric acid in the body.
  • Iron is a part of proteins of various functions, including enzymes. Participates in the transport of electrons, oxygen, ensures the occurrence of redox reactions and activation of peroxidation. Insufficient consumption leads to hypochromic anemia, myoglobin deficiency atony of skeletal muscles, increased fatigue, myocardiopathy, atrophic gastritis.
  • Iodine participates in the functioning of the thyroid gland, providing the formation of hormones (thyroxine and triiodothyronine). It is necessary for the growth and differentiation of cells of all tissues of the human body, mitochondrial respiration, regulation of transmembrane transport of sodium and hormones. Insufficient intake leads to endemic goiter with hypothyroidism and a slowdown in metabolism, arterial hypotension, stunted growth and mental development in children.
  • Cobalt is part of vitamin B12. Activates metabolic enzymes fatty acids and folic acid metabolism.
  • Copper is part of the enzymes that have redox activity and are involved in the metabolism of iron, stimulates the absorption of proteins and carbohydrates. Participates in the processes of providing tissues of the human body with oxygen. Deficiency is manifested by violations of the formation of the cardiovascular system and skeleton, the development of connective tissue dysplasia.
  • Selenium- an essential element of the antioxidant defense system of the human body, has an immunomodulatory effect, is involved in the regulation of the action of thyroid hormones. Deficiency leads to Kashin-Bek's disease (osteoarthritis with multiple deformities of the joints, spine and limbs), Keshan's disease (endemic myocardiopathy), and hereditary thrombasthenia.

The main thing is that the vegetables quickly reach readiness, and cooking breakfast does not take you much time. You can make an omelet with tuna and vegetables in the oven or in a pan - here choose the option that is convenient for you.

- green beans (boil) - 100 gr;
- carrots - 0.5 pcs;
- unsweetened pumpkin - a small piece;
- salt - to taste;
- black pepper, spices - all to taste;
- vegetable oil - 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
- milk or water - 0.5 cups;
- ground turmeric - 2-3 pinches (optional);
- green onions or any greens - 1 bunch.

Recipe with photo step by step:

Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add salt and black ground pepper and a little turmeric (if you want the omelette to turn out bright yellow).

Pour in milk or water. Whisk all ingredients with a fork or whisk homogeneous mass. A sign of a well-whipped omelet mass will be the appearance of light foam on the surface.

If you are making an omelet with canned tuna, take the fish out of the can, break it into small pieces or mash with a fork (but not to a paste). Fresh fish should be salted, peppered, cut into medium-sized pieces and quickly fried on a well-heated vegetable oil. Transfer to a plate, cut into small pieces.

Cut all the vegetables for the omelet. Pumpkin in small cubes, carrots in strips or thin slices, tomatoes in small slices. String beans put in boiling water for two minutes. In a deep frying pan, heat a tablespoon of oil, spread the carrots, pumpkin and beans, lightly fry. Add the tomatoes, cover with a lid and simmer the pumpkin and beans until soft. Do not forget to salt the vegetables and season with ground pepper.

Put pieces of fried tuna (or other fish) to the prepared vegetables or add canned tuna. We heat everything together, stirring with a spatula.

Pour the scrambled mass onto the vegetables with the fish, shaking the pan so that the mixture is evenly distributed and fills all the voids between the vegetables.

Sprinkle finely chopped green onion or any greens, cover the omelet with a lid and bring to readiness over low heat. An omelette with tuna and vegetables will be ready when there are no liquid areas left on the surface, it will become lush and airy.

We serve the omelette to the table immediately, as soon as we remove it from the heat, in the same bowl (if it is a cast iron pan) or in a large frying pan, dividing into pieces. We also advise you to take note of the recipe for cooking Bon appetit!
Advice. The omelet will become more magnificent and will not settle when cooling if a little is added to the mixture of eggs and milk wheat flour. To a tablespoon of flour you need to pour two tablespoons cold water and quickly rub all the lumps. Mix the resulting thick homogeneous mass with milk or water (the amount is indicated in the recipe) and pour into the omelet mixture. Whisk quickly. Then cook according to the recipe.
