Nowadays, there are a lot of programs in order to correctly calculate all the required dimensions of furniture for your home. Furniture design software is not only a tool for a professional furniture assembler and manufacturer. Any person who decides to equip an apartment or house with his own hands can discover a lot of useful functions in this software.

There are both paid and free programs that have a trial period of use. If you are making an individual home furniture project, this free period should be enough for you.

The furniture manufacturing process includes several main stages.

There is a program for each stage of work. Using the appropriate software allows you to speed up the process of creating furniture, avoid the most common mistakes, use ready-made package solutions, making your own adjustments that will make your piece of furniture individual.

In total, there are three main types of programs of this kind:

Large developer companies specializing in the development of design, design, cutting and manufacturing of furniture often offer packaged versions of their software products. When one shell and a single interface supports different mods and add-ons, it is convenient, first of all, because there is no need to once again solve the issue of compatibility and reading formats. Such packaged software offers automatically read the data without asking any questions.

All applications that are aimed at are designed in such a way that you can enter all the coordinates and dimensions of your room, as well as separately place and change each detail. In any case, you can find a program on the Internet and choose the one that you like. There are also online services for these purposes.

The Best Furniture Design Software

Astra Furniture Designer - a simple program for designing furniture

One of the most famous programs for designing furniture is. Such a program will serve you for the design of cabinet furniture, as well as interior design. It uses tools that are very easy to learn for ordinary users.

ASTRA software for furniture modeling

By using even the simplest furniture design software, you will be able to eliminate all sorts of construction mistakes that are usually made when designing with a pencil on paper.

Furniture design in Pro100

Disadvantages of the Pro100 program

The main disadvantage is the rather high cost of the software, which is, in principle, lower than that of competing products, but not by much. You can download it for free and try the demo version of the program to see if it's right for you or not.

At the same time, the decision to save money using the demo version will be overshadowed by the inability to print or export your project. The demo version does not even allow you to save the developed project.

If a specialist is seriously engaged in furniture design, then the Pro100 is worth the money. This easy-to-learn program allows the designer to fully realize their creative potential.

In this article:

The use of software greatly facilitates the design of models, cutting furniture sheets and manufacturing parts in the production of furniture.

Moreover, the creation of furniture with the help of special programs speeds up the process of preparing a set of estimate, accounting and graphic documentation by more than 10 times (compared to manual labor).

Today, cutting accuracy is available without the use of CNC machines, it is enough to get a personal computer and master one of the special programs. Which one? We offer an overview of the six most popular programs, demo versions of which can be found freely available on the Internet.

The program "Volumenik - a furniture company"

When you first get acquainted with the program, it immediately becomes clear that the program is very modern and advanced. Works on Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Getting started with the VOLUME program

The main components of the program:

1. Graphic editor

The program is easy to design any furniture. It is enough to drag the elements from the right panel to the working area. As you can see from the video below, you can also manually move the cabinets using the shift function. After working for 15-20 minutes, you understand that everything is very convenient and thought out.

When you first get acquainted with the program, use the top view, it is easier to navigate. Also an interesting feature: if you right-click while shifting, the cabinet rotates 45 degrees with each click.

What furniture is already presented in the program: these are kitchens in solid wood, in plastic, in frame profiles, interesting curved facades, a whole range of different cabinets - compartments, hinged, orthopedic bases, there are various panels from which furniture is also made. You can create any model of your own, or use ready-made models from those proposed by the developer.

As a result, the document is saved to the order database, but in addition, the program has a so-called CAD menu that expands the formats for saving and loading 3D models: IGES, STEP, STL, VRML.

2. Cutting sheet materials

After creating a furniture project, the details are given for cutting. There are several calculation modes, working with chipboard residues, setting the thickness of the cutting part, transverse or longitudinal cut.

Pros:

  • ease of learning without any special skills;
  • a complete database of materials and models, adding your own materials;
  • cutting in the kit;
  • good graphics;
  • there are complex constructions for advanced users: creating contours, surfaces, subtracting and adding geometric bodies;
  • formats of 3D models for adding to the program and output to a 3D printer or a CNC machine.

Minuses:

  • the program is paid, but at a very affordable price, compared to analogues. At the time of writing the review, the price for a complete set is 10,900 rubles, for everything at once.

PRO100 - simple and clear

A program for designing furniture with the possibility of its virtual arrangement in a particular interior. The best option for working with a client. With its help, you can make a list of all the necessary materials and accessories, perform product detailing with subsequent export to cutting programs, get projections with dimensions and the ability to print in any convenient angle. It is possible to work with complex parts: radius, asymmetric, with oblique cuts.

Pros:

  • an intuitive interface with which you can understand the operation of the program even without special training;
  • excellent 3D visualization is indispensable for both the designer and the sales manager, whose task is to convince the client here and now that the furniture he has chosen will fit perfectly into the interior of his apartment (Fig. 1);
  • a lot of auxiliary tools with which you can quickly build an interior according to the given parameters and place new furniture in it;
  • the ability to use both ready-made modules (the program already contains standard samples of modules used in the production of cabinet furniture, windows, doors, etc.), and build your own non-standard interior details and save them to library catalogs (Fig. 2 );
  • high image quality, as close as possible to a photograph, includes the ability to adjust the intensity of lighting, the transparency of materials, the presence of shadows and reflections;
  • there is a function for calculating the estimated cost of future furniture, for adequate operation of which it is enough to correctly configure the program, having previously entered the prices for fittings, materials and consumables (Fig. 3).

Minuses:

  • does not have a set of "snaps" (markers that mark the desired points - the center of the object, the intersection of lines, etc.), with which you can more accurately position the part;
  • there is no functionality for applying edges;
  • there is no way to create an additive map - drawings with fastener schemes or drilling holes in each part;
  • PRO-100 program is paid, in the public domain you can find only a demo version with limited functionality;
  • Although PRO-100 bills itself as a furniture design software, it is more suited to client work.

Bazis Furniture Maker

This program is considered the leader in furniture software.

"Basis-Furniture Maker" - the main module for the virtual creation of cabinet furniture models of any complexity at a professional level. With it, you can draw up a complete set of drawings, a cutting map, get specific recommendations for installing fasteners, up to instructions for panel edging. In addition to it, the complex included six more modules, selected for various kinds furniture business.

The names speak for themselves.

Program modules

"Basis-Cabinet" - a module for parametric design - changes in geometric relationships and various structural schemes of cabinet furniture. With it, you can get a full-fledged cabinet projection in 5-10 minutes (Fig. 4);

"Basis-CNC" - a specialized program for cutting and adding parts modeled in the main module on CNC and milling and welding centers for furniture manufacturing (Fig. 5);

«Basis-Cutting» - software for creating cutting maps according to all the necessary parameters: the area and dimensions of the workpieces, the number of cuts and their exact length, the yield of "useful" scraps, the amount of waste, etc. (Fig. 6);

"Basis-Estimate" - a convenient tool not only for calculating material costs per unit of output, but also for analyzing intellectual, labor and other costs that arise in the course of doing business. With the correct initial settings, the program performs subsequent calculations automatically, allows you to manually adjust documentation forms, export documents and calculation data to 1C:Enterprise (Fig. 7);

"Basis-Salon" - a program for working with customers directly in the furniture store. Thanks to simple functionality, the seller will quickly create and present to the client a photorealistic image of the future product, calculate the cost, transfer information about the new order to production (or a command to ship the finished product from the warehouse) (Fig. 8);

"Basis Warehouse" - a program for accounting for material assets, which supplements accounting programs, but provides more detailed information about income and expenditure, internal movement, balances and types of materials, etc. (Fig. 9).

Advantages of Basis-Furniture Maker

  • an excellent graphic editor with which you can get professional drawings and diagrams for cutting, manufacturing parts and assembling (Fig. 10);
  • the ability to create your own libraries;
  • the function of automatic binding of the marker is implemented;
  • it is possible to use certain fragments of frequently repeated elements to create furniture complexes; - additive maps are displayed automatically, there is manual editing;
  • convenient arrangement of fasteners with the ability to create analog circuits (Fig. 11);
  • modules can work both autonomously and in combination. With their help, you can optimize working time as much as possible and automate production at every stage - from order acceptance to delivery. finished products.

Minuses:

  • the most global disadvantage is the high price of software;
  • insufficiently good visualization - loses in comparison with the PRO100 functionality;
  • difficulty in learning.

For example, to make a cabinet, you need to start work with a virtual visualization of the project in Basis-Cabinet, then export it to Basis-Mebelshchik in order to work out complex elements. After that, calculate the cost in Basis-Estimate, create cutting and additive maps in Basis-Cutting, display the rest of the material in Basis-Sklad ...

In a word, it is quite difficult to figure it out without preliminary preparation or a course of study.

WOODY furniture design software

A great option for beginner designers and furniture makers who plan to make furniture professionally with a minimum set of equipment.

Pros:

  • maximum ease of use, intuitive interface;
  • automated preparation of specifications with the dimensions of parts (overall and saw);
  • it is possible to calculate the consumption of materials in quantitative and cost terms (Fig. 12);
  • a fully automated process of drawing up a cutting drawing, which will allow you to make furniture without errors, with the highest quality;
  • a good database of materials, accessories, fasteners, libraries of ready-made models (which, if necessary, can be easily changed to fit your needs)
  • there is a 3D design function;
  • the ability to output each part with a marking scheme for fasteners and a comprehensive assembly drawing.

Flaws:

The main disadvantage of such a simple and convenient program in all respects is very significant - it is deprived of technical support, because the developers (InteAr LDT) refused to develop the software. WOODY has neither updates nor new versions, the software is gradually becoming obsolete and is no longer compatible with many operating systems.

Astra - furniture designer

A program specially designed for small and medium businesses. With its help, you can design furniture complexes or individual parts, save the created projects in a special library, and virtually place furniture in a 3D interior. In fact, this is an analogue of the PRO100 program: cheaper software with improved cutting and filler functions, but with much fewer design options.

Consists of several separate modules:

  • "Astra-Cutting" - for drawing up cutting drawings and additive maps;
  • "Astra-Konstruktor" - for object visualization;
  • "Astra S-Nesting" - for the manufacture of complex radius parts and cutting non-standard arbitrary shapes (Fig. 13).

Pros:

  • selection of options for the most economical cutting to minimize waste;
  • automatic placement of fasteners with the possibility of manual adjustment;
  • the possibility of applying an edge (in versions 2.0 and higher) - automatic generation of a set of drawings (diagrams of parts and axonometric view of the product), technical documentation for each part, which includes: order specification, statement of the availability of necessary materials, specification for pasting the edges of parts, calculation of work performed and materials used, labels for marking;
  • detail cutting maps can be drawn up separately or displayed on one sheet;
  • it is possible to automatically check the correctness of cutting and joining parts (Fig. 14);
  • you can calculate the estimated cost of the product, taking into account the consumption of basic materials;
  • free demo versions of modules are a completely working option, which differ from paid software only in the impossibility of transferring data between modules (for example, from Astra-Konstruktor to Astra-Cutting).

Flaws:

  • accessories are not taken into account in cost calculations;
  • not all video cards support versions of OpenGL - libraries for the Astra-Constructor program, as a result of which expensive software may simply not start or “slow down” during operation;
  • a rather “modest” library of ready-made options, compared to the analog RPO100;
  • the initial preparation is quite complicated - without filling in and entering detailed information, the program will not work.

KitchenDraw

A specialized program for modeling and designing kitchen furniture, as well as bathrooms. Allows you to create complex professional projects for non-standard layouts, "drawing" the interior from scratch to the smallest detail. And a typical kitchen in it can be designed in a few minutes, using the extensive catalogs of libraries, adjusting the size and geometry of the furniture.

Pros:

  • Today KitchenDraw provides the best 3D visualization and the most colorful pseudo-photos of any design software available.
  • automatic preparation of a graphic drawing of furniture (Fig. 15);
  • automatic calculation of the project cost (Fig. 16);
  • fast modeling of a three-dimensional scene (including the selection of tile colors, the creation of highlights and illumination of zones), thanks to a large library of ready-made three-dimensional models;
  • it is possible to export finished drawings to other programs with detailed cutting.

Flaws:

  • feature of the program: hourly payment. That is, there is no specific cost for the software, you need to pay for the use exactly as much as the time the program has been working (an hour of work in the program costs about € 3, but with active use the price decreases);
  • there are no cutting charts, additives, the ability to accurately calculate the cost and other details necessary for accounting and directly for the manufacture of furniture, but this problem is solved using a bundle with other programs.

The word "MASSANDRA" is translated by some scholars as "military settlement" (from the Greek words: Mars - the god of war and Anthropos - man). Other scholars translate the word as "uncomfortable lands".

The first owner of Massandra was the economic adviser Smirnov M.N., who called his estate "God-given Dacha". The territory of this huge dacha from Yalta and the village of Ai-Vasil in the west to the village of Ai-Danil in the east, the survey plan of the dacha was taken in 1897, has been preserved in the Nikitsky Garden.

We invite you to see how the famous Massandra winery works.

In the tasting room of the enterprise of the National Production and Agrarian Association (NPAO) "Massandra".

The next owner of the village of Massandra was Countess Sofia Konstantinovna Pototskaya. With the support of the Governor-General of the Novorossiysk Territory, Duke Armand de Richelieu, she dreamed of building a city on the hills of Massandra - the center of the entire South Coast and calling it Sophiopolis. Richelieu, for political reasons, was forced to leave his post, and the idea of building a large city is dying. Yalta at that time was a small fishing village, which practically did not pay attention to any city planner.

After the death of Countess S.K. Pototskaya, the estate of Massandra passes to her two daughters - Sofya and Olga Stanislavovna.

After the daughters of S.K. Pototskaya Massandra was owned by Countess A.M. Vorontsov, and then - the young children of Count Mikhail Semenovich Vorontsov. Vorontsov himself owned land in the area of Martyan and Ai-Danil. Massandra passed into the possession of the Vorontsov family around 1826. Since that time, Vorontsov's establishment of a vineyard and winery began, later transferred to the Specific Department. Vorontsov built a house, a basement, a church in Massandra. Understanding the value of the south coast land, Vorontsov M.S. planting parks, planting vineyards, building wine cellars.

After the death of Vorontsov M.S. Massandra became the property of the Batashev family and, finally, in March 1889, together with the Livadia and Ai-Danil estates, it was acquired for 1,800,000 rubles by the Specific Department of the Ministry of the Court, i.e. became one of the real estate that served as a source of maintenance for members of the Russian Imperial House.

The place for the construction of the plant, above Yalta near the village of Massandra, was not chosen by the prince by chance. The local conditions were ideal for the construction of cellars for aging wine. And in 1894, near Yalta, on the territory of the current Massandra, the construction of a monumental cellar for 250,000 deciliters of barrel-aged wine and a bottle department for 1,000,000 bottles was started, and in 1897 completed. The project of the plant was developed by one of the largest architects in Russia - A.I. Dietrich.

The entry of the cellar into operation was not without reason timed to coincide with the main event in the commercial and economic activities of Massandra of that time - August 29, since then annual fairs were held in this future center of Crimean winemaking.

The unique building of the Specific Department, of course, did not go unnoticed by the emperor, and on August 28, 1898, Emperor Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna visited the Main Massandra basement. And already in 1900, the Main Basement took part in the Paris World Exhibition. Since that time, the glorious era of "Massandra" began, which continues to this day.

The middle floor of the main wine cellar of the Massandra winery, April 8, 2014.

Like a medieval castle, at the edge of the forest stands an oblong building made of light gray Crimean stone with a tower in the middle and several wrought iron gates with an arched top. The devastating earthquake in 1927 in the Crimea did not leave even a crack here. The technical solution of the underground part has no equal. Seven tunnels diverge like a fan from the connecting one - one floor below is a collection section of eight small and one large gallery.

In 1936, a master plan was developed for the reconstruction and significant expansion of the old plant. The new plant was designed on the site of the existing building and is one with it. The construction of the New Plant began in 1938 and was completed in 1956. Now it is a large unique building, called the Head Plant of the Massandra Association. In 2007, NJSC "Massandra" celebrated the 110th anniversary of the completion of the construction of the Head Plant ...

Washing and control area wine bottles winery "Massandra", April 8, 2014.

The production of Massandra wines is carried out according to the classical winemaking technology, which provides for the absence of artificial ingredients in production.

Wine production is divided into:

1) primary winemaking: cultivation of grapes and production of young wine materials -
2) secondary winemaking: aging in oak containers, carrying out technological operations, bottling, additional aging in bottles for collection wines.

All obtained wine materials are natural and made from grapes grown only in our own vineyards on the Southern coast of Crimea.

Climate, soils, location of vineyard sites, their exposure to the sun, altitude - these are the special favorable conditions of the South Coast that are necessary for obtaining quality wines with a high content of sugars and extractives.

The climate of the southern coast of Crimea is favorable for growing grapes and is characterized by mild winters, not very hot summers, fertile spring and generous warmth in autumn.

Coastal soils are diverse and occur in the most unexpected combinations. The same soils, but located on steep slopes and at a higher altitude, provide excellent wine materials for original strong, dessert and liqueur wines.

These are varieties that give juice rich in aromatic and extractive substances, capable of high sugar accumulation both in the process of ripening and withering of berries - varieties that can really turn a sunbeam into a fragrant, sparkling noble drink.

Most of Massandra's vineyards are located among pine forests. The ancient philosophers Plutarch and Theophrastus attributed to pine forests, located in the vicinity of vineyards, the properties to give wine a special mild taste.

The vineyards of "Massandra" are located on the lands of eight vineyards of the association, which are spread over a narrow coastal strip from Foros to Sudak with a length of 180 km. If you glance along the southern coast of Crimea from west to east, then farms will appear in that order.

After the production of wine materials in wineries, the young wine is sent to the head factory "Massandra" - the heart of the association, where it continues its life until it becomes the very famous, high-quality and repeatedly titled product that bears the proud name - "Massandra" .

The main stage that the wines go through at the Head Factory, located in the city of Yalta, is called aging: wines, depending on the type, are stored for several years in bottles or barrels. Wines also undergo additional procedures: cold treatment, filtration, clarification, etc.

All necessary production and management procedures are carried out in accordance with the requirements of standards and meet modern requirements for the production of wine products, thereby guaranteeing the buyer the high quality of the product, its naturalness and authenticity, and safety of use.

The basis of the production of wines "Massandra" is a long-term exposure. It is carried out at the Massandra Head Plant, the main basement of which was built under Lev Golitsyn from 1894 to 1897.

At present, the production of dessert and strong wines, for which Massandra is so famous, is carried out in the cellars of the Head Factory. This is served by four cellars: Upper, Middle, Lower and New, which are the place of “maturing” of wines.

Vintage wines are aged for at least 1.5 years in oak containers with a certain temperature regime. For exposure are used oak barrels and bottles. All wines, depending on the technology, are aged in different temperature conditions and undergo the necessary technological operations.

In addition to vintage wines, Massandra is famous for collection wines, that is, wines additionally aged in the bottle. Collection aging takes place in cellars with a constant temperature regime and forms a collection of wines.

The wine collection of "Massandra" (enoteca) is the most unique and rich in content. It contains about a million bottles and is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The foundations of the collection were laid by Lev Sergeevich Golitsyn in the 19th century. Currently, the collection is replenished annually with new wines.

The collection serves not only as a source for the sale of wines. Collectible wines are also a material for scientific research, and some of the stamps are kept in the inviolable museum fund.

The process of creating wines is an interesting and exciting activity. a large number of subtleties and nuances. Buyers of Massandra wines can get acquainted with this magical process. You can do this by visiting one of several types of excursions of the Massandra Tasting Complex.

The center of contemporary art turned out to be an unusual place - a former winery. Moscow in this place is no longer the outskirts. The vast territory of the once brewery "Moscow Bavaria" attracts visitors with exhibition halls, workshops of artists and designers, showrooms, dance studios. Anyone who wants to see the work of young Russian talents or try their hand at master classes, plunge into the trendy atmosphere, can visit Winzavod. Address: Moscow, 4th Syromyatnichesky per. 1, p.6.

Ancient zone of Moscow

Once a manor near Moscow, where the popular youth museum is now located, belonged to the lady of state, Princess Ekaterina Alekseevna Volkonskaya. She spent most of her time in the metropolitan society chasing after honors and offerings. A lot of decorative decorations of the building survived. In the restored form, it looks like it is shown in the photo - nobly.

Even during his lifetime, E.A. Volkonskaya sold the estate to the merchant Monin. Then she passed to Nikifor Prokofiev, who opened a honey-brewery in it. Then she changed hands more than once, until, finally, the plant began to belong to the Moscow Bavaria joint-stock company. This is how the current Winzavod Museum developed. Moscow and Muscovites could not imagine that a hundred years later, art exhibitions would be held on this territory.

Railway

The Tarusin brothers produced beer premium. Part of their land was cut off by the built Kursk railway. There was still quite enough space between the warehouses and the main production.

This can be seen from modern photographs, which depict the winery. Moscow in those years was not a metropolis, where every sq. meters were very expensive. Nowadays, the entrepreneur is interested in seven abandoned buildings and, having made cardinal changes in them, he turned them into a center of contemporary art - "Winery". Moscow has changed in this area. Cultural life is in full swing here.

permanent exhibition

In 2007, the art center "Winzavod" (Moscow) opened and presents visitors with a diverse contemporary culture. At first, only galleries worked, in which there were photographs, paintings, and sculptures. There are now eight of them. In one of them you can see works with a fresh look by artists from the regions of the country. In the next - to observe how works of art are created.

New names are opening in the XL gallery. Regina supports Russian artists and promotes them abroad. Proun is the Russian avant-garde. In addition to him, in another Pop/of/art gallery, you can see the second wave of avant-garde, Sots Art and the work of masters of the 90s and 2000s. Those who love contrasts will definitely visit "11.12" - a place where realistic and postmodern works are exhibited.

"Photoloft" was created to help those who create modern interiors for cafes, restaurants, bars, offices, shops. The exposition changes regularly. It presents the best works of contemporary photo artists of Russia and the world.

Exhibition halls

Eight halls with different names allow the visitor to enjoy the high technical level of the exhibitions, lectures, presentations, master classes, photo and video installations held here.

In addition, the premises allow you to develop an educational program for the year. The topics are extremely entertaining: for example, "Beauty France", "Many Faces of Italy" or "Culture and Art of Japan". This is how the Winzavod Museum in Moscow gradually changed.

The shops

15 shops and showrooms welcome visitors with unique gifts. The Phalanster bookstore and the 33 1/3 vinyl records store are worth highlighting separately. Collectors can expect unusual finds here.

We celebrate the New Year

When the New Year holidays are approaching, the most advanced youth come here for bright and original gifts. Author's things, jewelry, toys are created by famous and young designers. They will want to please and surprise not only friends and children, but also yourself, your loved one. Fervent music will definitely play, there will be Santa Claus: everything will create a festive New Year's mood in advance. And if you are tired, then you can relax in one of the three cafes: "Circum", "Cunning People" and " useful place».

Let's go to the cafe

The first one consists of two rooms. In one of them you can refresh yourself with dishes of European or Asian cuisine. Drink coffee or tea with fruit. The cultural program has not been forgotten. Here they show movies, hold or jazz. On Saturdays, you can get a free Latin American dance lesson. Soul, jazz, reggae, rock and roll and funk will sound for you in the Cunning People cafe.

If you want to work quietly with a cup of coffee, then you won’t find a better place than the Useful Place. In the coffee shop, the visitor has the opportunity to reproduce documents or use a scanner. All this is quite unexpected for a place like Winzavod. Moscow with him acquired signs of large western cities, where long ago old industrial enterprises were revived in a modern style and changed the infrastructure located next to them. This is typical for most metropolitan areas.

Excursion to "Winzavod" in Moscow

You should choose the date of the visit, mark it, select the events that interest you, and visit the Winzavod. Entrance to some of the exhibitions is free and free. For others, you will need to purchase a ticket. Prices are generally affordable, except for educational programs. But they consist of about a dozen sessions of three hours each. Their themes are unusual and reveal many secrets. Winzavod in Moscow is one of the most interesting places to visit.
