If your children do not want to eat porridge, try cooking casseroles in a slow cooker, the same porridge will be eaten very quickly. You can specially cook rice porridge for casseroles, or you can use the rest.

What you need to cook rice casserole in a slow cooker:
- 2 multi-cups of rice,
- 4 multi-cups of milk,
- a teaspoon of salt,
- 4 tablespoons of sugar,
- 3 chicken eggs,
- 2 large apples,
- cinnamon or chocolate to sprinkle on the casserole.

1. Rinse the rice well under running water until the water runs clear. Then, drain all the liquid and put the rice in the multicooker bowl.




2. Pour in 2 multi-glasses of water, 4 multi-glasses of milk, add salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar and set in the Steamer - Soup - Porridge mode for an hour. I set the porridge to boil overnight, then it just stood in the heating mode.




3. Transfer the cooked one from the multicooker bowl to a bowl, let it cool. In the meantime, let's prepare everything else.




4. Beat the eggs into a strong foam with a mixer. At the end of beating, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and after a couple of minutes you can turn off the mixer. You can add vanillin while whipping if you like it.






5. Gently add the rice porridge to the eggs and mix well. It is most convenient to do this with your hands, then all the rice will fall apart in the egg foam and the rice casserole in the slow cooker will turn out to be more magnificent.




6. Lubricate the multicooker bowl with vegetable or butter and put half of the rice-egg mixture into it. Wash well and peel. Remove the core and cut them as you like. I didn't cut too thin. Lay the apples on top of the rice layer.




7. Put the rest of the rice on the apples and put the bowl in the slow cooker. Select the "Baking" mode and leave the apple-rice casserole for 45 minutes.




8. When the rice casserole is ready, take your time to get it out, let it cool down a bit, otherwise the whole thing will fall apart. Place the steamer tray on top and turn the multicooker bowl upside down.






9. Now you need to transfer the rice casserole from the slow cooker to a plate. To prevent the casserole from falling apart while transferring, place a flat plate on top and turn over.

Rice and minced meat casserole consists of two layers of rice with beaten eggs, between which is a layer of minced meat fried with onions. By the way, you can use boiled meat instead, if, for example, it is left over from broth or soup. By the way, it is also not necessary to specially boil the rice - perhaps the previously cooked rice has stagnated in the refrigerator - feel free to put it into action!

It is also very tasty if you add fried mushrooms to the meat with onions. This time I did not have any mushrooms, but I usually add some mushrooms or grated cheese.

To cook rice casserole with minced meat in a slow cooker you need:

  • 400 g mixed ground pork and beef.
  • 1 large onion.
  • 1.5 cups boiled rice.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of sour cream.
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • 0.5 teaspoon of turmeric.
  • Salt and black ground pepper- taste.

Cooking step by step:

We prepare the products: defrost the minced meat or grind the meat, boil the rice, peel the onion and cut into small cubes.

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over low heat in a deep frying pan, add the onion. Fry, stirring occasionally, until soft or lightly golden. Add the ground meat to the pan, diligently mix it with the onion, breaking it with a spatula into smaller and smaller pieces.

When the mixture is ready (after 15 minutes), season it with salt, pepper and turmeric, mix, remove from heat.

Cool the boiled rice a little, and then transfer it to a deep bowl. Salt and pepper it to taste.

In a separate bowl, break the eggs, lightly beat them with a fork - until light foam.

Add two tablespoons of sour cream to the eggs, mix well - until a homogeneous consistency.

Pour the egg mixture into the rice bowl and then mix everything together well. On this preparatory stage finished.

Now let's move on to the preparation of the minced rice casserole itself. We cover the multicooker pan with a square piece of baking paper.

It is not necessary to do this, since the rice casserole in the slow cooker will not burn anyway, because the pan has a special non-stick coating. How to make rice pudding? We take cottage cheese, twist it through a meat grinder and mix with pre-cooked rice porridge. Next, add vanilla, sugar and starch. We mix everything thoroughly. Beat the eggs separately with a mixer, and then pour into curd mass. Pour the baking powder and knead a homogeneous sparse dough. Lubricate the multicooker bowl with margarine and lay out the cooked dough. We put the casserole in the slow cooker, set the "Baking" mode and cook the dish for 70 minutes.
