For children, it is very important that the dish looks bright and beautiful, it is interestingly decorated. Jelly for children will definitely appeal to little sweet tooth, because it not only looks appetizing, but also very tasty and healthy for kids. Preparing baby jelly can take quite a long time, but its recipe is very simple.

Prepared by Katerina Vasilenkova

A long time ago I wrote an article about . These were the simplest boxes that were designed to diversify the baby's sensory experience and develop his basic motor skills (folding, shifting, finger gripping, spoon and scoop handling, etc.). But sensory boxes are not only a chic finger simulator, they are also a wonderful platform for role-playing games and themed classes. In the sensory box, you can recreate a small world with its inhabitants and a characteristic environment, play out simple life situations and thereby consolidate the knowledge of the baby on the topic under study. About thematic boxes and will be discussed in this article.

Such boxes will be interesting for children from about 2 years old. Perhaps something a little earlier, something later, be guided by the interests of your baby. And children after 3 years will already be happy to take part in the creation of sensory boxes with you.

I would like to note that if you are making a themed box for a child under 2 years old, then try not to add too many details, because. little child he needs more space to turn around, and constantly falling fences and trees can upset him.

1. Sensory box "Farm"

The pet sensory box is great as a first themed box. As a rule, children simply love to feed someone, and in this box for the little “breadwinner” it’s just grace, you can pour food into troughs and cups as much as you like. During the game, you can unobtrusively repeat the names of pets, remember who eats what, who helps a person, etc.

How to make such a sensory box? I used buckwheat as the ground, but beans, peas, pasta, lentils, brown or are also suitable. And you can mix several different fillers at once, it will also turn out interesting.

It is advisable not to make a pond of real water, it runs the risk of quickly mixing with the entire contents of the box. Pond filler options - hydrogel, blue, decorative glass stones, well, or yarn, like ours (only, I note that it is not convenient to play with any yarn, some constantly cling to the legs of animals).

It's great if you have sheds and animal pens from ready-made kits, they will perfectly complement your farm. But if there are none, it's okay, a shed can be easily made by cutting off one wall of a milk box or any other suitable box. Similarly, I made a trough for animal feed. I painted both cardboard boxes on top with acrylic paints in two layers, and although this did not completely hide the factory inscriptions about the expiration date and place of production of milk, it was completely unimportant for my daughter, the main thing for her was functionality, and the boxes did an excellent job with this.

And, of course, you need pet figurines set (Ozone, My shop, KoroBoom), without them there is absolutely no way to do

How did we play with the box?

  • The most interesting thing is, of course, to feed the animals by pouring cereals into their trough. Sometimes I even wondered how long Taisiya hung over this seemingly completely monotonous occupation, but apparently, a normal human desire to take care of someone takes its toll.

  • They put the animals to sleep, placing them in the barn for the night;
  • They sent animals to graze, drink on the pond, and even swim;

  • Children came to our farm, where they enjoyed riding horses and donkeys;

  • Sometimes you had to drive some naughty goats into the stall, who jumped over the fence, etc., there are a lot of game options, they depend only on your imagination and the age of the child.

2. Sensory box "Beach" ("Summer")

Another great platform for role-playing games is the Beach sensory box. I think it could easily be called the “Summer” sensory box, because swimming in the lake / sea is perhaps one of the brightest summer experiences for children.

This time I made a pond from a hydrogel (aquatic soil). For a change, our resort coast is made half of pebbles, half of decorative yellow sand for aquariums. Stones can be taken as river, sea or decorative. Unfortunately, I didn't have any of the above on hand, so I took the gravel from the playground (but I must say, I returned it there after the game!).

Everything else is also from improvised materials: sunbeds from empty matchboxes, a kiosk from a small box of cream (painted with acrylics), umbrellas are skewers for canapés. Oh yes, I also bought decorative tiny shells for aquariums.

What we played in the beach box:

  • sunbathing;

  • We bought ice cream at a kiosk (the seller, however, constantly went out to sunbathe, then swim, it was not easy to catch him);

  • Collected shells;
  • We played beach sand (we had small children's dishes (a mug and a spoon) as molds and a scoop))
  • Fleeing from a raging crocodile, etc.

3. Sensory box "Sea"

Very simple in execution and very unusual in terms of sensations, a marine sensory box-piece of iron. All you need is water, gelatin, any dye (food, gouache, liquid watercolor), and a little patience for it to solidify well.

Do not look that Tasya is already so big in the photo, you can safely play with jelly even from the age of 1. But the fact that even at 4 the child will be happy is also true. Children really like to mess around in this unusual consistency, to study it by touch, pick holes in it, find hidden figures, just slap on it, after all.

I try to hide the figurines in jelly so that some of them are completely hidden from my daughter’s eyes (they are completely invisible in colored water), and some temptingly show their edges so that I really want to get them. For starters, so to speak.

A little tip: in order for the figures to show their edges, and not fall in a limp mass to the bottom, some of them need to be attached to the bottom with plasticine in the position you need (this must be done before the jelly hardens).

While we get animals out of jelly, we remember what they are called and their main features. We have a set of marine animals of the company Happy Kin, the one with the shark and the sperm whale. The set is simply excellent, the quality can not be faulted. Here is another, in my opinion, a good option from the company Wenno.

4. Sensory box "Arctic" (aka "Winter" sensory box)

Of course, the Arctic and winter are not exactly the same thing, but I think that playing with the baby in the Arctic box is a great way to show him life in the conditions of the “extreme winter”, in the conditions of the Far North. I wrote about this box in detail in an article on thematic lesson "Arctic", but I will repeat here a little, so that everything is in one place.

The most burning question for winter sensory boxes is what is snow made of? There are actually a lot of options, here are some of them:

The ocean here is again made of jelly. In order for the jelly to retain its shape, it will need to be kept in the refrigerator between games, but this is a big plus, during the game your ocean will always be cool, which is fully consistent with its ice cover. In addition, due to the jelly consistency of the ocean, ice floes (they same cotton pads) are perfectly kept on it.

In our games, the polar bear hunted for fish, attacked the seal, set up a lair for himself,

the polar scientists who arrived on the icebreaker tried to get acquainted with the local Eskimos and take pictures of the animals,

The Eskimo equipped his dwelling, rode a deer and was also engaged in fishing.

By the way, the igloo, as you probably guessed, is made from a paper cup, sliced cotton pads are used as snow blocks. Did together with Taisiya.

5. Sensory box "Antarctica"

Very often, the concepts of the Arctic and Antarctica are not completely distinguished. I myself, until I started to study with my daughter, was firmly convinced that the polar bear and the penguin were swimming somewhere on neighboring ice floes, this is how they are often depicted in the pictures. Maybe, of course, for a three-year-old child there is no fundamental difference, but I decided that since it’s formed, it’s right right away (so that later there’s no porridge in my head, like mom’s), so we had a separate box dedicated to each pole of the earth.

This time the snow is made from starch (400 g) and shaving foam (200 ml), for the iceberg I froze ice in a bowl beforehand. I didn't manage to come up with many different details in Antarctica, which is essentially a wasteland, but it still turned out to be interesting to play (and more than once). In addition, we liked to just mess around in a pleasant snow-starch mass.

  • Our penguins and seals fished, and also rode off the iceberg and jumped into the ocean from acceleration.
  • The little penguin was constantly lost, and then, with our help, he was looking for the way to his grandmother.

  • Scientists and travelers arrived in Antarctica. To shelter from the icy winds, they hastily built themselves a shelter from refined sugar.

And this, by the way, is a sensor box "on the road"

6. Sensory box "Dinosaurs"

Dedicated to all dinosaur lovers - the world of dinosaurs in your home is almost like a real one. I will not go into details and again describe all the components of the box, I think, having read the previous copies, you have already perfectly captured the essence.

We already made this sensory box together with our daughter. She was then almost 4 years old, and she enthusiastically set about creating a box, throwing in her design ideas. At that time, we had repeatedly read a completely masterpiece book about dinosaurs - “ Such different dinosaurs”(there were others, of course, but this one is beyond competition), and I think it was thanks to this book that scenarios for games in the sensory box poured out of my daughter like from a cornucopia: and how predators attack herbivores,

Do you want to find such fun for a child that will not only keep him busy for hours, but will also be useful for the development of vision, hearing, touch, and imagination? Then prepare a bright jelly for your baby for tactile games!
The positive impact of sensory sensitivity on the brain of a child is scientifically proven. Moreover, the brighter and more diverse the sensory experience, the more active the development of the baby's brain lobes will be!

Why tactile games are useful for children with jelly:

Develop:

  1. Smell.
    Before you start playing with jelly, ask your child to smell it and tell you what it smells like. Apple, banana, cherry? Does it smell good?
  2. Vision.
    Ask the child to name the colors he sees in the jelly. To do this, make it multi-colored, layered.
  3. Taste.
    Let your child taste the jelly before playing with it. Find out if it tastes the same as it smells? Sour or sweet?
  4. Touch.
    Let the baby touch and trample the jelly with his arms and legs, feel its structure, as it gradually melts in warm palms.
  5. Hearing.
    Pay attention to the baby what sound can be heard when the jelly is torn in your hands or squeezed tightly.
  6. Vocabulary.
    So many words can be learned by a child, describing jelly together: sticky, viscous, slippery, transparent, multi-colored, etc.

Also, jelly perfectly calms the baby's nervous system, so this is an ideal fun for hyperactive children. You can play with jelly in the evening so that the child becomes calmer before going to bed and sleeps well.

Recipe with tactile jelly

We will need:

  • 1 l. water/compote/juice
  • sugar (you can do without it)
  • gelatin (25 g for soft jelly, 50 g for dense, which can be cut and squeezed).

Cooking:

  1. Heat water or compote to 60 C.
  2. Gradually add gelatin to the heated liquid and stir gently.
  3. When the gelatin dissolves without lumps, cool the mixture and refrigerate for a couple of hours.

To make multi-colored jelly, pour different colors into the dishes in turn. That is: poured one stop, put in the refrigerator. When it hardens, pour a layer of a different color on top and set to harden again.

JellyWithsurprise

Before sending the jelly to the refrigerator, put small plastic toys in it, for example, from a kinder surprise. You can also put molds in the form of letters or numbers from children's games. The child will actively look for them in jelly.

Whichflavor?

After pouring the jelly into molds, add different fruit flavors there. Blindfold your child (or have them cover them with their hands) and ask them to guess what each jelly smells like. Offer to mix a few of them and guess the mixed flavors.

figurinesfromjelly

If you have molds for playing with sand, you can pour jelly into them, after making it more dense. Now you can play with cars, fish, jelly flowers, as well as build houses and pyramids from it. With the help of such a game, the smallest can learn the shapes of objects.

Greetings to all parents who are trying to make summer interesting and rewarding. Educational activities for children in the summer are by no means limited to workbooks and cramming poems. This time of the year is filled with light, joy, interesting moments and I will share our ideas with you. At the moment, we have a big topic “All about water”, it was within its framework that I selected tasks. We made a beautiful candlestick with fish, practiced laced fingers and “swimmed” in the gelatinous sea.

The content of the article developmental activities for children in the summer

Sensory game for children - Gelatin Sea

Sensory perception is very important for all children. It is part of a full development. Already in the kids, nature has a desire to touch everything, taste it, smear it, rattle it. Why did I decide to make this sensory game? When we kneaded, during the process, my son Alexander was very passionate, but then he cautiously touched finished product. I tried to take it with a shell or mold, the game itself lasted less than I expected. I always pay attention to the reaction of my son. Children do not know how to pretend and this helps parents discover what needs to be worked on.

Developing activities for children in the summer are hard to imagine without the sea. And although we live on an island surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, I created an artificial sea from gelatin. Many kids are wary of this wobbling product, so you need to play with it in such a way that sensory play for children becomes more interesting. My son, who is now 3 years 9 months old, is very interested in marine life, so I took them as enticing material.

Preparing and conducting a sensory game

First of all, you need to rinse the figures that you want to hide in gelatin well. You need to be prepared for the fact that the child will taste it. I used Knox Gelatin Unflavored. It's just perfect, as you can add any color of food coloring to it. I kneaded it in water and added 1 tablespoon of sugar to 4 bags. Gelatin from this did not stick to my hands, in fact, its texture is very pleasant, I would meditate myself. But if the child tries it, he will be pleasantly surprised by the taste.

I do not advise taking gelatin with added flavors: grape, pear, cherry. This product contains a large number of sugar, it does not hold its shape well, it is different to the touch. You need a product in bags - colorless, unflavored.

Preparing our sea, I put marine life into molds with warm gelatin. Now the fun begins. In this sensory development game, history almost repeated itself. At first, Alexander looked with interest at the beauty that appeared before him, but did not want to throw his hands into it.

One of the components of sensory development is the definition palatability. We have on this topic, during which the child identified the shades of lemon flavor. Dessert in the form of fruit gelatin is familiar to Alexander, and after I said that the sea is made of gelatin, the child tried it.

As a result, he relaxed and began to play, introducing more and more new friends into the habitat. This time I barely took the dish away, our dad could no longer wait for us for dinner. It is this reaction of the child that is considered normal. He knows that the hands will be washed and tactilely enjoys developing his sense of touch.

DIY children's boat from wine corks

Another thing, without which it is difficult to imagine, developing activities for children in the summer are boats. They can be made from paper, foam, wood, but I will show you the most easy way from wine corks. This do-it-yourself children's boat was prepared by me in five minutes. I was supposed to follow Alexander to the kindergarten, but I wanted to see his satisfied face, as it always happens when my mother prepares a surprise.

I needed:

  • 3 wine corks;
  • 1 stationery gum;
  • 1 toothpick;
  • 1 paper cookie cutter.

Assembling a children's boat is extremely simple. An older child can easily do it himself. We take wine corks and fix them with a rubber band. We stick a toothpick into the middle cork, put a paper sail on it. If your toothpick does not have a tip, just fix the tip with a plasticine ball. Decorate the game beautifully, use improvised materials: shells, glass dice, transparent dishes. After all, we teach our children to see beauty.

A child's smile was provided to me. True, the boat did not live long, after about ten minutes Alexander began to conduct an experiment with a cry: “Mom, why is it not sinking?” . And after he was convinced of his unsinkability, he began to ride his Legov little men on it.

What develops such a game? The child sees how easy it is to make a boat craft with his own hands, he can do it himself. Blowing on the sail, articulation gymnastics is carried out in the game. The properties of objects sinking or not sinking are learned, in this case we are talking about soft thermoplastic. If you have cork corks, they are also ideal for making a children's boat. Be sure to explain to the child what they are made of and draw his attention to the property of staying on the water. I like to make decorations out of such corks,.

How to make a candlestick with your own hands with fish

What comes to mind when you hear the phrase “cozy summer”? Personally, I see housing in a marine style, with shells and attributes such as a ship's steering wheel. Terrace overlooking the sea, on which, in addition to many flowers in pots, there is a cozy light of candlesticks. Alexander is also attracted to water and fire, or rather candles. At first, there was an idea to make a “sea” and launch candle-ships across it. Maybe we'll do it next time, but right now I'm worried about the child's safety. In addition, we use our candlestick every evening and Alexander himself blows it out before going to bed. Keeping the "sea" for a long time would be difficult.

So, the next educational activity for children in the summer is a do-it-yourself candlestick. How to make it with a child, or rather, to give most of the work to him, I will tell you now.

We needed:

  • 1 vase (it would be interesting to take a spherical one as an aquarium);
  • multi-colored papyrus paper;
  • stationery glue;
  • water;
  • pebbles (optional)
  • candle,
  • dry sparkles (Alexander insisted);
  • cut out goldfish from foil.

First, have the child cut or tear the paper with their pens. In the case found, it was cut with children's scissors. For the fish, I hand-drawn a template on cardboard and then traced it on the foil. I cut it myself, because for my preschooler, these are still small details. Now we prepare the glue, which must be mixed 1 to 3 with water. It will not be possible to rush the child, and thus the glue will not dry out instantly, although it sticks perfectly. For algae, I took the helium kit that we had available, but they will turn out just as good from paper.

Show on the first piece how to make it stick. Negotiate the color range and give creative process into the hands of a child. Even toddlers can do this job. You need to put a work mat under the vase, since the glue is liquid, it will be difficult to control it.

Let the children take an active part in making a candlestick with their own hands. So my son, who is in love with everything shiny, said that goldfish should live in water with sparkles. Having glued the vase while the glue was wet, Alexander sprinkled glitter with a pen. Then we glued the goldfish and algae together, after which our candlestick had to dry. It was decided that the ceremonial lighting of the candle would take place at 21:00, when dad would be at home. And finally, our beautiful candlestick in action.

DIY Lacing for Kids: Octopuses

Developing activities for children in the summer can be in the form of lacing, which is easy to do with your own hands. Lacing perfectly develops fine motor skills, eye and logic. With ready-made figures, you can play home theater. And since we are talking about summer and the sea, this time I chose octopuses. Alexander has not tried this type of lacing yet, it will suit children after 3 years. And last time we did.

We needed:

  • 2 toilet paper rolls;
  • hole puncher, which makes one neat hole;
  • paints + brushes;
  • woolen threads;
  • Google eyes (we glued them on silicone);
  • white crayons.

First, I pierced holes along the edge of the roll. Then we colored the octopuses one by one. Since my son is now very into color mixing, I was not surprised that he chose pink, which he prepared himself. Thinking that it would be nice to make do-it-yourself laces in the form of a boy and a girl, I used the blue color. While we slept for a quiet hour, our octopuses dried up.

Then I showed Alexander, on one of the legs of the octopus, how to tie the lacing. I can’t say that it was easy for him right away. It was necessary to fold the thread in half so that its ends were the same. Then take a small loop and thread it through the hole.

After that, the two ends of the thread must be inserted into the loop and pulled out so that the loop is tightened. This is the most developmental lacing ever. Watch the child, if he manages on his own, then just be there and talk.

We drew spirals with crayons, glued the eyes with silicone, and put in strings to hold the figurines. Our do-it-yourself laces are ready!

When our dad came and found the child in the jumba-bumba dance, he asked if Alexander made jellyfish? To which he received a serious response:

- Dad, jellyfish don't have eyes, they're octopuses, can't you see that they have eight legs!

Dear readers, I showed you educational activities for children in the summer, to which no kid will remain indifferent. Make this time of the year bright, unforgettable and useful at the same time. If you liked the article, I will be very pleased that you share it on social media. networks. Please do not copy the entire text for this, it is better to use the buttons below. In the comments, you can tell which summer games your kids like the most, I will be happy to rejoice with you. Below I give a list of our classes on the topic “All about water”, where you will find experiments, outdoor games and much more.

Sometimes you really want to paint gray everyday life with bright colors. This is especially true for mothers on maternity leave, for whom every day is similar to the previous one. Then different people come to the rescue. easy experiments for kids at home that I want to share with you.

My name is Alina. My little son is Kirill. He is my main ideological inspirer and will often appear in photographs of our tricks with him. We will be glad if you find this material useful.

Today I want to tell you about really bright experiments in the truest sense of the word, which you can easily repeat with your baby.

What you need:

  • Skittles or M&M's
  • warm water
  • white plate

How to make a candy rainbow:

1. Have your child line the candy around the edge of the plate. Help him if the baby can not cope on his own.

2. After the circle is ready, carefully pour into the center of the plate warm water so that the sweets lie in it (the water should not cover them from above).

3. Now just watch. Gradually food coloring will begin to melt, thereby tinting the water. And you will see a beautiful rainbow.

What you need:

  • any white flowers
  • food colorings
  • glasses / any container where you can put a flower

We had three flowers, so only three colors were used in the experiment, but you can use as many as you want, or as many colors as you have available.

How to make colorful daisies:

1. Pour an equal amount of water into the glasses.

2. Drop or dissolve a new color in each glass.

3. Cut the flowers so that they are proportionate to the glasses. It is necessary to trim it, so the stems will better absorb the dye.

4. Then put each flower in a separate glass.

After about an hour, the flowers will begin to change their color. At first, it is barely noticeable, and after 10-12 hours they will become very bright blue / red / yellow or any other color.

So you will clearly show the child how flowers drink water.

What you need:

  • several packages of store-bought jelly in different colors (for example, apple, lemon and raspberry)
  • any figures (we had marine inhabitants)
  • small containers where you can pour jelly, the more there are, the more fun and longer the game will be

How to make tactile jelly for a child:

1. Prepare the jelly according to the instructions on the package, each flavor separately. You can do this either one at a time or at the same time.

2. Pour the resulting liquids into containers prepared in advance.

3. Then put one figurine in each container.

Figures can be either absolutely anything, without a theme, or united by one theme, so that there is something to discuss with the child during the game.

In our case, we repeated the names of marine inhabitants, discussed their size, color, compared them in size, in general, we had a conversation on the topic of marine inhabitants.

4. After the figures are laid out, put all the cups in the refrigerator and wait for the jelly to harden. You can also involve the child in the process of preparing for the game.

5. After a few hours, the jelly will be ready. Take it out of the fridge and put it in front of your child.

Let him touch, pick out, knead, take out figures, squeeze with his fingers, gain full fists, in general, do absolutely whatever he wants with jelly. This is a wonderful tactile game, and such games are very useful for the overall harmonious development of the child.

Good luck with your experiments and fun games!
