Today I present another easy recipe breakfast for the whole family - sausage and cheese wrapped in a Mexican tortilla. You can also use thin pita bread to prepare this dish.

Tortilla or tortillas is a thin flatbread made from corn or wheat flour. I had ready-made tortillas available - wheat flour tortillas, bought on the occasion in the supermarket, but you can cook them yourself.

For this, you need to take 4 cups of wheat flour, 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder, 0.5 cups of softened margarine, 1.5 teaspoons of salt and 1 cup of warm water.

To make tortillas, you need to sift the flour into a bowl, add the baking powder and mix everything well. Then you need to add margarine to the flour and mix everything until a homogeneous crumbly mass.

Next in warm water you need to dissolve the salt, and then pour the water with salt into a bowl of flour in a thin stream, stirring constantly so that the flour absorbs all the liquid. The dough is obtained by consistency like dumplings.

The dough must be thoroughly kneaded, form a ball out of it and, covering it with a light towel, leave it alone for 20-30 minutes. You can prepare the dough in advance, for example, in the evening, put it in the refrigerator, and bake fresh tortillas in the morning.

For baking, the dough must be laid out on a work surface and divided into about 10-12 equal parts.

With a rock, roll each piece into a thin cake with a diameter of about 25 cm and fry in a large frying pan with a thick bottom over medium heat for about 20-30 seconds on each side (until ruddy dots appear).

Such tortillas are very tender and tasty, they can be used in other ways besides the recipe below, for example, just spread with pate or jam. And hot, freshly baked, they are tucked into both cheeks and without any filling at all!

So, I had ready-made tortillas, so for today's recipe for sausages with cheese, I took each breakfast:
2 ready-made tortillas with a diameter of about 25 cm (or 2 pieces of pita bread about 25 by 25 cm)
2 sausages
cheese - ~50 grams
mayonnaise, ketchup to taste

Difficulty - minimal
Cooking time - 10 minutes (if you have ready-made tortillas) or 40 minutes if you cook your own tortillas.

Cheese grated on a coarse grater. Put the pan on to heat up.
I peeled the sausages from the shell and cooked in the microwave for 3 minutes. Cut each sausage in half lengthwise.

She put a handful of cheese on each cake.

Both halves of the sausage are on top of the cheese.

Sausages lightly smeared with mayonnaise (you can anoint ketchup here, if you like).

Then top with another handful of cheese.

Then I put the envelope on a preheated dry frying pan and held it for 1 minute on each side so that the cheese melted inside. For beauty, I warmed the envelopes in a steak pan to get a beautiful pattern on the envelopes!
