Lavash rolls with cheese filling. Lavash roll: simple, tasty, and affordable recipes with photos

Lavash rolls are very simple and tasty snacks for the festive table. They can be served for birthdays and New Year, yes, for almost any family holiday, when you want variety on a rich table. It's simple tasty dish gained its popularity not so long ago, and now takes pride of place among traditional snacks. And it's no secret that you can cook pita rolls with a huge variety of fillings.

We will tell you several recipes for the most delicious rolls, and you are sure to find the one that suits your taste. These appetizers are sure to please your guests and delight loved ones.

The main component of this appetizer is Armenian thin lavash. It is sold in stores in the bread section and is almost always readily available. If desired, it is not difficult to bake it yourself. But, if there is no time for this, then a good fresh pita bread from the store is perfect.

Lavash rolls with red fish (salmon) and cream cheese

To prepare such a roll, we need:

  • Armenian thin lavash
  • slightly salted red fish (salmon, trout. chum salmon) - 200 grams,
  • soft cream cheese(not processed, look for soft cheeses in jars like Almette, Cremette, Violetta, Philadelphia, Mascarpone) - 180-200 grams,
  • lemon juice - 1-2 teaspoons, sprinkle the fish.
  • greens to taste

To prepare pita rolls with salmon and cream cheese, cut into thin slices slightly salted salmon. The thinner the pieces, the easier it will be to wrap the roll and it will look neater.

Spread the cream cheese over the pita bread in a thin, even layer. Then, lay out the fish slices, but not close, but at small intervals. It’s good to alternate the taste of cheese and fish in layers if you put them in a checkerboard pattern.

Lightly drizzle lemon juice over the salmon to bring out the flavor. Cooking spray is perfect for this, which will help you spread the lemon juice in a thin, even layer.

After that, you can sprinkle pita bread with cheese and fish with a thin layer of finely chopped greens. Dill or green onions are great. But I do not recommend putting too much greenery, as it can clog delicate taste fish and cheese. It is better to decorate the rolls with greens on top, when serving.

Roll the pita bread into a very dense sausage, wrap in cling film and put in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Lavash will soak during this time and become softer.

Remove the roll from the refrigerator right before serving on the festive table. Once you've unrolled it, cut into 2-3cm thick slices straight across if you want smaller portions, or diagonally which will make the slices longer and larger.

Arrange nicely on a plate and garnish with herbs or cherry tomatoes.

Lavash rolls with crab sticks and melted cheese

For such delicious roll you will need:

  • Armenian lavash - 1 piece,
  • crab sticks - packaging,
  • melted cheese - 150 grams,
  • mayonnaise - 2-3 tablespoons,
  • greens to taste

For this roll, it will be useful to prepare the filling in advance, namely, mix it in the form of a salad, this will allow the ingredients to better stick together with the sauce and prevent the roll from falling apart later.

Take crab sticks and grate them on a coarse grater. You can also cut with a knife into small straws. Avoid large thick pieces, they will make the roll bumpy and ugly, and it will be more difficult to wrap it.

If you use hard processed cheese in briquettes, then grate it. If soft, then mix it with crab sticks but reduce the amount of mayonnaise.

Finely chop the greens. Mix crab sticks, cheese, herbs and mayonnaise in a separate bowl until smooth.

Spread the pita bread on a clean, dry surface. Spread the resulting filling on it in an even layer. Roll tightly, being careful not to leave air bubbles. Wrap the finished roll in cling film and put it in the refrigerator to soak. This should take at least half an hour, then the pita bread will not be too dry and the snack will turn out tender.

Before serving, remove the pita bread from the film and cut it into circles 2-3 centimeters thick. Arrange nicely on a platter and garnish as desired. Rolls with crab sticks and melted cheese are ready! Enjoy your meal!

Lavash rolls with ham and cheese

  • fresh or pickled cucumbers as desired - 2-3 pieces,
  • fresh greens.

Such a roll is prepared very quickly, so all the preliminary preparation will be to cut the filling.

There are two ways to add the filling.

The first is to cut the cheese and ham into very thin slices. On a sheet of pita bread smeared with mayonnaise, lay them out in two layers. Place thinly sliced cucumbers on top and sprinkle with herbs. Then roll up tightly. Please note that the thicker you make the slices of cheese and ham, the more difficult it will be to roll the roll and the thicker it will turn out in the end.

The second way is to grate the cheese on a coarse grater, cut the ham into thin strips, chop the cucumbers in the same way as ham. After that, mix cheese, ham and cucumbers with mayonnaise, as for a salad. Then, spread the filling over the pita bread in an even layer. Tightly twist the pita bread and put it in the refrigerator to soak, wrapping it in cling film beforehand.

Before serving, cut the roll into circles 2-3 centimeters thick. delicious snack ready for the holiday table!

  • Korean carrots - 200 grams,
  • hard-boiled eggs - 2 pieces,
  • melted cheese - 200 grams,
  • greens,
  • a little mayonnaise
  • garlic clove.

To prepare pita rolls with Korean carrots, prepare pita bread. Lay it out on a dry, clean surface. Grate hard-boiled eggs on a coarse grater, mix with melted cheese, finely chopped herbs and chopped garlic. Add mayonnaise. Apply this filling to pita bread in an even layer. Sprinkle on top Korean carrots. If there are too large pieces, cut them into smaller ones.

Then, roll up tightly and place in the refrigerator for a while. Don't forget to wrap it in cling film.

You can serve after an hour, cut into circles 2-3 centimeters thick.

Lavash rolls with chicken

This is simple and delicious stuffing for rolls, which is suitable for a holiday and for an ordinary lunch. It will require:

  • boiled chicken breast - 1 piece,
  • hard-boiled eggs - 2-3 pieces,
  • mayonnaise + sour cream in equal proportions - 3-4 tablespoons,
  • garlic - 1-2 cloves.

The chicken for this roll must be boiled in advance in salted water, then cut into thin strips. Hard boil the eggs and grate on a coarse grater.

Grind the garlic with a knife or in a special crusher. Mix eggs, garlic and mayonnaise and sour cream sauce, spread them on pita bread in an even layer. Put the chicken on top, spreading over the entire surface. If desired, you can add greens, such as parsley or lettuce leaves.

After that, roll up the roll tightly, wrap it in cling film and put it in the refrigerator. It is advisable to cut such a roll before serving.

  1. This dish is very simple to prepare. For him, we need thin Armenian lavash, it is better to buy lavash in the shape of a rectangle, it looks better in ready dish, because it has smooth edges and, accordingly, it is more convenient to roll into a roll.

We spread it over the entire surface of the pita bread, but not in a very thick layer, that is, the pieces of tomato and greens should be fairly free from each other.

  6. As soon as one side is fried, turn the roll over and fry the other side.
  7. Cut the fried roll into portioned mini-rolls and serve. This dish is wonderful both warm and cold. Great for picnics. The taste is soft and creamy with subtle hints of greenery. In short, very tasty, I advise everyone to try.

Lavash rolls with melted cheese

  2. Following the curds, three on a grater are a couple of cloves of garlic. If you like it very spicy - put three slices instead of two.
  3. Mix this mixture thoroughly until smooth. If the processed cheeses are quite hard and not very plastic, then a couple of teaspoons of mayonnaise can be added to the mixture to make it easier to mix. But do not overdo it with mayonnaise: from it, pita bread can quickly become sour, soak.

Delicious appetizer of pita bread with herbs

Ingredients:

  • thin lavash
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 0.5 bunch greens - dill, parsley
  • 0.5 tsp olive oil
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pc onion (bulb or green)
  • spices peppercorns, salt, sugar, wine vinegar, dry herbs

Cooking method:

  1. The first step in preparing the filling is to pickle some onions. There are options here, and pita bread with herbs can be quite diverse.
  2. If there is time for pickling - this is half an hour, then peel the onion and cut into very thin strips. For a snack for two, I take half a medium onion. I add 2 tsp to the onion. wine vinegar.
  3. I mix and leave. For 20-30 minutes. If there is no time, the “quick” pickling option is to pour chopped onion with vinegar into 0.5 cups of boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In any case, rinse the onion after pickling with cold boiled water to wash off the remaining acid.
  5. Squeeze the onion lightly with your hands. Another option, I like it better (but only for me), green onion feather without pickling. But you need to add a little vinegar to the filling.
  6. By the way, lemon, pomegranate juice, abgora, etc. will do. It's to taste. Choose your option.
  7. Rinse and sort out all the prepared greens. Removing stems and damaged leaves. Cut off leaves from parsley, sprigs from dill - the stems are quite coarse, they will be superfluous.
  8. And cilantro greens can be used along with the stems, they are very juicy and fleshy.
  9. Chop all the greens, not too finely. Place greens in a bowl. Add a pinch of sugar, just a little bit. Sugar will melt from moisture almost immediately
  10. In a mortar, grind peeled garlic to a pulp (young garlic can not be peeled), peppercorns, salt and dry herbs. Quantity as desired.
  11. Add a few drops of wine vinegar or lemon juice, otherwise the salt will not dissolve and the pita bread with herbs will crunch. Next, add 0.5 tsp. olive oil and stir. Get a refueling.
  12. Add onion to chopped greens. Pour over the prepared dressing and stir.
  13. The filling is ready. Taste it. May need to add garlic or salt
  14. Cut thin pita bread into rectangular pieces the size of two palms. Put 1-1.5 tbsp on each piece of pita bread. toppings from greens and distribute it evenly on half a piece. So that the second half was without filling
  15. Roll pita bread with herbs into a roll (roll) starting from the end where the filling is. It is necessary to roll tightly enough, but do not overdo it - thin pita bread is easily torn.
  16. Cut each roll in half, diagonally. Lavash appetizer is a portioned dish.

Lavash roll with cucumber and herbs

To prepare a pita roll with cucumber at home, a minimum amount of available products is required. We cooked pita bread with different fillings but this one is special. I highly recommend this dish as an appetizer for the holiday table.

Ingredients:

  • Lavash thin - 1 piece
  • Processed cheese - 1 piece
  • Cucumber - 2 Pieces
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • Greens - to taste
  • Mayonnaise - 3 Art. spoons

Cooking method:

  1. It is very easy to prepare pita roll with cucumber at home. This process takes me about an hour. Prepare processed cheese, mayonnaise, salt and pepper, and garlic.
  2. Grate the processed cheese on a coarse grater, add garlic (squeezed) to it and salt. I also add peppercorns to taste.
  3. Chop greens: parsley and green onions. You can also add dill if you like. Now send it to our cream cheese filling.
  4. Mix everything well and take pita bread. With such a filling, the taste of the snack is extraordinary.
  5. Now cut the cucumbers lengthwise. I usually take small fruits and peel them completely.
  6. The most crucial moment - we coat our pita bread with the filling. Spread it completely and start over the entire surface, and put cucumbers from the very edge.
  7. Now wrap the pita with an envelope and wrap cling film or foil. I usually send it to the refrigerator for 20 minutes so that the filling freezes a little.
  8. After that, remove the film or foil from the pita bread and cut it into portions. Put them on a dish and garnish with lettuce and greens.

Lavash roll with herbs and chicken

I really like chicken fillet as a filling for pita rolls. Thanks to him, the snack turns out to be hearty, but quite light. AT holiday rolls always want to put smoked chicken, and in those that are prepared for everyday lunches and dinners, there is boiled fillet. Although it is not so spicy in taste, it is much more in line with the criteria for a healthy diet.

And I also like to wrap chicken stuffing in pita rolls because you can combine anything with it: eggs, cheese, any fresh or salted vegetables, canned fruits. It is important that the "minced meat" is juicy, but at the same time does not suffer from an excess of moisture. Lavash, as you know, is prepared from unleavened dough, and in itself it is still dry. He just needs to get the right portion of “moisturizing” from the filling. Therefore, mayonnaise or some other sauce or vegetable oil is usually added to it.

Ingredients:

  • unleavened Armenian lavash - 1 pack (for 2 sheets);
  • chicken breasts- 2 pcs.;
  • eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • hard cheese - 150 g;
  • cucumber - 1-2 pcs. (depending on size);
  • dill or parsley - 20 g;
  • mayonnaise - 4-5 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt - to taste;
  • ground black pepper - to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Boil chicken breasts until done. Leave the broth for cooking some other dishes - for example, soups, sauces, aspic, etc., and take out the breasts, let them cool and separate the meat from the bone. You do not need chicken skin - therefore, remove it without regret along with the bones. Grind the boiled fillet - you can simply tear it into small fibers with your hands.
  2. Peel hard-boiled eggs and chop into cubes, as for salad or okroshka. In the same way, grind fresh cucumbers. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, add grated cheese and finely chopped parsley or dill. Salt, pepper, mix, season with mayonnaise. Ideally, of course, at home, since the course has already been taken healthy eating. Instead of mayonnaise, sometimes the filling is seasoned with olive oil. It’s also delicious, and no one will reproach for “harmfulness”.
  3. Spread sheets of pita bread on a table or on a cutting board. Lay out and level the filling on their surface so that the indents along the edges are about 2-3 cm. Only from one edge can the indent be left wider - up to 6-7 cm. Roll the roll towards this edge. In the same way, you make an analogue from the second sheet of pita bread. Pack both rolls in cling film - each separately, of course. Refrigerate for at least three hours. Before serving, cut into oblique transverse slices.

  1. One of the ways to prepare a very famous cold appetizer from pita bread and any red fish, be it salmon, trout, or pink salmon.
  2. As a "highlight" of this recipe, I took the idea of \u200b\u200bpreparing my favorite Kyoto roll, which has a wonderful combination of curd cheese and green onions in my opinion.
  3. Well, if you combine regular recipe making a roll of pita bread with salmon, and the roll indicated above, it turns out what I got below.
  4. And I prepared mine cold appetizer to the festive table.
  5. We cut off the white bases from the onion, and chop the green feathers as finely as possible.
  6. We also finely chop parsley sprigs, mix green onions with parsley into a single green mass
  7. A sheet of fresh Armenian lavash (if you take not fresh, it will be difficult to wrap it, as it will break) gently and evenly spread with a thin layer of melted cheese, be sure to coat the top of the lavash, otherwise the rolls will unfold
  8. As soon as the melted cheese is finished, we coat the base of the cake with a layer (the whole 140 gram package) of curd cheese, a strip of about 1.5-2 cm.
  9. Sprinkle a strip of chopped onion and parsley over the curd cheese, sprinkle the remaining herbs on the middle of the pita bread smeared with processed cheese
  10. Cut off the skin from a piece of lightly salted salmon, and cut the salmon into very thin slices.
  11. To prepare this appetizer, I highly recommend salting the salmon yourself, because in the store, in vacuum packed, the fish is usually salted
  12. Lay the plastics of salmon evenly over the entire surface of the pita bread in a checkerboard pattern.
  13. As you can see in the photo of the recipe, the base of the pita bread and its upper part remain uncovered with fish,
  14. Now, starting from the very bottom, tightly tucking the pita bread across the entire width, we twist our roll,
  15. Constantly making sure that it is tightly folded with us.
  16. After the roll is completely rolled up, the cheese that was spread on the top of the pita bread will stick the roll together, and it will not unfold with us,
  17. We cut the roll in half (it will be more convenient to place it on a cutting board), and cut a few rolls from the extreme parts of the rolled pita bread.
  18. This is necessary so that “empty rolls” are not served on the festive table, which are just obtained by cutting the extreme parts of the pita bread.
  19. Now it remains for us to cut two "selective" rolls of pita bread into rolls
  20. Put them on a dish, garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices if desired, and immediately serve on the New Year's or any other festive table!
  21. Well, this is how the resulting pita rolls with salmon look in the close-up photo.
  22. Please note that the core of my rolls is curd cheese and greens, everything is as it was intended!
  23. Everyone Bon appetit and good luck with the above recipe for this delicious cold appetizer.
